FROTHINGSLOSH (1961), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 5, 2008 Sampled from a 12 oz clear bottle this beer poured a pale yellow color with a large white head. The aroma was sour industrial lager with a noted skunky element. The flavor was sour, tangy and just slightly sweet with a very light skunky undertone. The finish was a bit sweet and corny. Cosmopolitan (10), big rapids, Michigan, USA Apr 5, 2008 basically, bud in a different bottle, a very clever marketing ploy by anheuser-busch. Quietman (160), Florida, USA Apr 4, 2008 Clear yellow.Grainy corn aroma.Mild sweetness.Plain.The familiar taste of pale lager at twice the price.Drinkable at least, but not worth the money. emarkd (24), Georgia, USA Apr 3, 2008 Bottle. Pours a golden yellow color with a white head. Head dissipates kinda quickly but leaves nice lacing. Aroma is mostly grain with a little sour/skunky note in the background. Taste is all corn, like watery corn juice. Just slightly acidic with no aftertaste. I’m disappointed. I’ve had this in the past and remember it being better than this. Not worth the money. ultraspank (866), Dublin, Ohio, USA Apr 3, 2008 Allison was nice enough to let me sample one of hers. Faint nose of grain, fresh but mild and light, thinking summertime. Pours a light sparkling straw. The mostly lasting white creamy and fluffy head leaves a wispy sheet of lace. The mild front is wheatish, the middle has a moderate to full acidity, the almost non-existant finish is very brief.
The light watery body is lively and crisp. IlanMan (816), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA Apr 2, 2008 Updated: Apr 3, 2008Pours a light golden with a white off head. Aroma is nothing special. Taste is of corn,p rice, and light malt. Basically no hops. Not real good. Will not purchase. wingman333 (233), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Apr 2, 2008 Pale beer...vastly overpriced for the quality. Flavors not readily apparent; watery overall. Nothing very unique about it. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA Apr 2, 2008 12 ounce bottle from Richmond Beverage in Richmond, VT (April 2008) sampled out of the fridge from an appropriate Coors Banquet glass. For some reason I had a moment of excitement on seeing this, thinking I could finally scratch Florida off of my states list....but nope, just another Bud product. Anyway, the head is more stable than that of most pale lagers, white and creamy-fluffy; the body is totally clear light gold....mild, adjuncty (corn) aroma, but reasonably clean and fresh, lightly grassy....very sweet, sugary upfront, pretty dull and bland at midpalate, somewhat dry at the finish...no real hop presence, muted pale malts....bland but more drinkable than the majority of A-B products, certainly.
