FishManLA (284), Abita Springs, Louisiana, USA Apr 2, 2008 A generic pale lager. Ambiguously sweet on the nose. Sweet lime-like taste. It tastes like AB is attempting to emulate the taste of a Corona with the lime squeezed into it. To their credit, that is, in fact, what Landshark tastes like. Drinkable, but unremarkable. Shag (1922), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA Mar 31, 2008 Picked up a single at the Kangaroo this evening. This crap was almost $10 a six pack! Anyway first off it looks and smells like a Budweiser. So far it’s not looking or smelling good. The flavor is like pretty much any other AB swiller. Corn and more corn. You gotta give it to those little sneaky snakes, they make it appear to be some micro lager and try to charge you a fortune. This is bascially repackaged Budweiser. Soonah (900), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA Mar 31, 2008 Poured clear gold with a thin, fizzy white head. The aroma is sweet corn and malt. The flavor is overly sweet with what tasted like sugar added to this typical BMC production. Mouthfeel was blah. Will steer clear of this one in the future. Aubrey (2773), Denver, Colorado, USA Mar 30, 2008 Appearance is light golden with a thin, small-bubbled head. Texture is light and watery with a mild carbonation level. Malts were rather sweet (grains, cereal). Slight milkiness. Very mild bitterness; not quite enough to cleave off the sweetness. The beer’s character wasn’t enough to cleave off its boringness. StFun (535), Indiana, USA Mar 30, 2008 Updated: Mar 31, 2008Everything I never wanted in a beer and more. Made by A-B, but says Margaritaville on the bottle, so I’m guessing somehow Jimmy Buffet is involved. As if selling the same bland-ass song over and over wasn’t enough, now he wants to sell you the same old macro swill beer? Can’t wait for the promo tie in "LandSharkville" to sweep the nation. Guess I should just be glad there isn’t lettuce and tomato, Heinz 57 and french fried potatos in this. Too bad he isn’t the son of a son of a Guy who knows how to make a good beer. WSSmiles (124), Columbus, Ohio, USA Mar 30, 2008 This was actually better than others have rated. Had it in Orlando, very crisp taste TheOrange (405), Kent, Ohio, USA Mar 27, 2008 Pour is very clear pale yellow with a medium to small white head. Aroma is of skunky hops/malts. I wonder if this was an old bottle. Flavor is a tad more robust then I had axpected, the skuck is not present in the flavor. The hops are very mild, and the malts are very light. An ok beer, at best. captianoats (30), Jasper, Indiana, USA Mar 26, 2008 I honestly had high hopes for this brew. 1. I am a confessed parrothead. 2. Margarittaville Tequila is one of the better mass market tequilas in my opinion. 3. Everything I have ever had w/ Jimmy Buffett’s name on it has impressed me.
Not this time. Pale color, I had to add a ton of salt and lime juice to remind myself this wasn’t water. If you want a decent mexican style beer, buy Sol, if you want crappy mexican beer, buy Corona.
