This actually tastes, looks, and smells like a Miller High LIfe and Corona mix to together....same mouthfeel too....I respect the High Life as well, but not a half crafted clone of it.....I payed WAY toooo much for this....$8.49 for a six pack.

A-B delivery guy dropped off two cases of this beer at Cellar’s Wine & Spirits in St Paul. Margaritaville Brewing Co? Only A-B could come up with a name like that. Pours a clear golden pale brew with a fast dissolving white head that dissipates clean. Aroma of corn grits, some grassy hops and a touch of citrus. Taste is light bodied, much carbonation with flavors of watery light grain malt with a touch of corn and grass. Finish is slightly gritty with a clean aftertaste. But sure close to water.

I would have know what to expect from this had I know that A-B brews it. The appearance isn’t too bad -- looks like a typical pale lager -- but that’s its greatest attribute. The smell is uninviting, and the flavor is much the same. Odd, chemical-like notes are everywhere, and it really makes me wonder just what the heck is really in there. Honestly, I can’t remember when I’ve had something this bad tasting, and probably bad for me. Please, don’t waste your money on this one; but if you have, I hope you’ve learned your lesson (I know I did).

Smells like: Fermented creamed corn.

Looks Like: Hangover piss.

Tastes Like: Watered down creamed corn and formaldehyde.

Feels Like: It’s gonna try and exit my skull via a sledgehammer

Overall: Why?

Crappy knock off of a crappy beer named Corona. Similarly over-priced as well. Sour strawberry aroma and barely any taste, no shock there. What does surprise me, is that I can get a 6 pack of Brooklyn Double Chocolate Stout for 40 cents more than a 6 pack of this crap. Just plain amazes me.

Bottle (12oz - clear). A BMC pale lager - joy. Very clear, very pale gold, very white head, very quick diminishing. Smells like dry scorched corn and ditchwater - harsh. Tastes sweet - cheap sweet with wet newsprint and straw. Body like water-lite, hardly any carbonation, a wisp of astringency but mostly just a cheap harsh sugary aftertaste that lasted forever. Urgh.

Clear bottle. Yay. Like this beer needs help going bad. Aroma, flavor, palate ...all scream overly sweet, corny Corona knockoff. I don’t normally do so, but I added the provided lime in sheer self defense. Even my friend, who is a big Corona (and watery beer) fan, tried it and declared it undrinkable. Traded it back for a Dos Equis. Probably not in for the long haul, as the waitress said I was the first person ever to order one. No big loss if this disappears from the market.

Bottle. Pours a light yellow color with a big foamy white head. Aroma is a little skunky with hints of corn and soap. Taste of corn and lemon with a faint hop influence. The finish is clean and semi sweet. Nothing I would ever want to drink again.
