1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours a five finger fizzy white head that fades quickly to a thin layer leaving some lace. Clear pale yellow/green color. Low carbonation and light-medium bodied. Stale water nose. Flavor is sweet corn with hops in background. Not very beer like, good lawn mower beer. $1.50 for a 12oz bottle from Capitol Convenience Concord, NH.

I would disagree with the previous review. I think if Corona was fresh (itís not - it usually taste pretty skunky and oxidized to me), I think it would taste like this, which is to say like nothing. Count me as unimpressed.
Appearance was bland macro. Yellow and fizzy. Aroma was virtually non-existence, although my nose developed some rather offensive corn notes after it hung out deep in my glass for a couple of minutes. Flavor was....there was no flavor. Mouthfeel...if there was one it would be like water. Nothing to this beer which could be inoffensive to some, but I was expecting more (like something).
I remember hearing a David Allen Coe song making fun of Jimmy Buffett ("Jimmy Buffett Doesnít Live in Key West Anymore") - Iím wondering if he could make a better beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: APR 21, 2009 This beer tastes nothing like a corona. The only resemblance is the color of the beer and the clear bottle. You do not want to add a lime or lemon to this beer. Great for the summer when you just want to kick back and relax with a good beer.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle at the Charcoal Chef in Woodbury. Poured a clear effervescent pale golden with a fizzy white head. Surprisingly sweet aroma of toffee and apple juice. Flavor is light as expected, but not terribly unpleasant for the style. Notes of toffee dominant, with a slight bit of lime citrus. Not too much corn, which is always a plus. Sure, there wasnít much to this, but it had some pleasant flavor and was inoffensive for what it was.

I agree with most comments that this is a Corona wanna be. Great beach beer as someone mentioned, but nothing I would keep in the fridge for friends. Hardly any flavor.

Iím not going to go into particulars with this one...its obviously an A.B. wanna-be Corona, but truthfully, I like it better than Corona...drank quite a few on vacation in Ocean City, MD...goes down real easy...typical "beach" beer...my Flavor rating was helped by the lime. :o)

Sorry, but Buffett should really stick with music. I knew by the initial glass pour and first whiff that A-B was the brewer (never seeing the bottle). Served in OBX at Millerís. Tauted as similar to Corona (not exactly a winner itself), but I figured Iíd try for a rating. Thatís all Iíll try it for, though. This pours somewhat golden, with a nitrous-induced head that diminishes to nothing. Some sweet corn to the nose. A muddy mingling of some sweetness, citrus and maybe a yeast strain here or there. Very bland, with lots of corn in the finish/aftertaste. The mouthfeel is thin and watery, with no real substance. Moreso than Corona, this reminds me of Tequiza. Itís almost cloying, honestly. So much that although I never drink my brews with a twist, I felt it best to add the lime to finish it off.
