1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Bottle. Sour corn malt aroma. Pale yellow color with small head. Light sour corn malt flavor. An obvious attempt to squeeze into the Corona market - just slightly better. Jimmy biting the hand that fed him.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle - parents brought me this from Ocean City, MD. Light golden, slightly cloudy. Very little aroma. Pretty lame. Typical of a mass market American Lager - at microbrew prices.

0.6 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
A friend got this for me in Florida. I thought it looked interesting. Cool bottle. Then I poured it. I knew I was in trouble when there was virtually no aroma whatsoever. Then I drank it. Bud screamed in my head. Lo and behold it is Bud. Fancy label and a fake brewery. Stay away from this slop. Down the drain it went. At least I didnít buy it.

2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Clear, bright yellow/gold appearance with a medium size white head and minimal lacing. Muted aroma ; some sweet maltiness. Clean, mild, moderately sweet, subdued hop taste. Light bodied, well carbonated mouthfeel with a short lived finish. Really not bad for a mass produced pale lager.

1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
UPDATED: APR 15, 2008 Pale straw color with a taller white head that seems to have a hint of yellow to it. Very bubbly brew. Wow this smell just like so many South American lager. Chalky pale malt and grain with just a hints of grass and dry herbs. Actually this has a decent look to it, if it didnít look so artificial. The bubbles donít stop and the head looks like plastic foam. Iíve now stalled drinking long enough. Wow, is this some vapid stuff. Lemon water start with a light medicinal/smoke/earthy finish and linger. Rerate, correct typos

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
This seemed to me to be a more crisp and sweeter version of Corona. It has a nice corn and malt taste and is very refreshing. Nothing special, but I wasnít upset I had it.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
This is truth in advertising. An "original island lager". Light on the eyes, nose and tongue. But, oddly refreshing with just a hint of effort beyond the normal macro lagers. A stealth label as well. I didnít know it was an A-B product. Better than many of their offerings, but I wonít have another one unless I am at a Buffett concert and its free (the beer of course).

1.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Boring American macro pale lager appearance. Boring sweet corn taste, with a hint of citrus.

2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Appearance was yellow with white head that diminished to some lacing rather quickly. Aroma was rather slight, very like most other macro brews, with some corn and very little hops. The flavor was light, but with more flavor than some lighter lagers, but still not very strong. Has a slight sweetness to it reminiscent of MGD. Very clean finish.
This beer is exactrly what it was designed to be: a very easy to drink American Lager with a built-in fanbase in parrot head clubs and other Jimmy Buffett fans. Nothing spectacular about it, but itís not bad as far as American Lagers go.
