A pretty terrible pale lager. Not surprised to learn (post-purchase) that it is brewed by "Margaritaville Brewing" aka A-B in St. Louis - probably wouldn’t have purchased if I had seen the "Margaritaville" imprint on the label... However bad the product is, the only reason this looked good to me at the time of purchase, is that it is nearly 110 degrees with very high humidty, and the clear bottle/pale color and overall beach-style packaging looked extremely refreshing. Oops! Looks like I can be swayed by marketing. :)

Draft. Gold. Plain boring aroma. The taste adds sugar and pilsner malt. Medium carb. Light and easy. My favorite easy summer brew over corona. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very light and watery with an unpleasantly sour finish and aftertaste. Brewed for hot summer days and nothing else.

Pours a clear golden hue with a typical white head with zero lacing. Aroma is your typical lager with very little memorable notes. Tastes a tad bit fruity on the front end and then disappears. I’ve had worse.

Bottled May 24, 2014.
Appearance: Clean and clear golden body with a tall and foamy head.
Aroma: Leans sweet with corn and perhaps a hint of caramel. Very inoffensive, perhaps a bit thick for a beer enjoyed in the Summer, but not bad.
Taste: Drier than the taste indicates, a bit of sweetness up front but the finish is dry. The finish comes off a little like aspartame though. Very inoffensive, but not really having any character.
Palate: Crisp and light.
Overall: Nothing bad, nothing good, but overpriced considering that it’s just as mediocre as most of pale lagers. Definitely not worth premium over Miller High Life.

Looks like a slightly hazed cheap lager. Smell is mostly corn and grains with some sweetness. Taste is metal, mineral, corn, corn and more sweet grains. Marketing gimmick not for me.

The brew is almost a pale straw. It is hard to smell any distinctive aromas. There is an astringent taste that takes away from any of the other ingredients. This also affects the palate as well.

Not much of an aroma just a hint of yeast. No head pale straw colour. Not much taste watery feel, no palate.

Given to me at a beach condo. From the clear bottle a very pale yellow. Aroma was very light, maybe a lemon aroma but hard to pick out. Taste is watery corn. Mouthfeel is watery body is light. I am guessing this is a Corona copy with the clear bottle and beach theme and they did a great job copying another corny water beer.

I'm surprised that I haven't officially rated this one yet, this used to be one of my default choices. It's been a while but I've drank enough of these to give a solid rating. Not bad as pale lagers go, not quite the corona imitation that everyone seems to say that it is. Has a decent golden appearance, usually with good lacing if on draft. Aroma is grainy malt with adjunct corny sweetness. Taste actually has some distinctiveness to it, pale malt and sweet corn base with some citrus and banana notes. Light, smooth, and drinkable, although has an odd aftertaste. I've heard of the phenomena of the "cottonmouth" palate drying effect of beer, for whatever reason this beer is the only one that I've experienced this with. Not bad but nothing special. I've had margaritaville brand tequila before and it's far more foul than this, haha.
