The marketing slogan for this beer ought to be, "An over-priced beer with an ordinary taste." It’s good, but no better or worse than any other run-of-the-mill beer. Why pay this much, when Red Dog is available? RJT

I had resisted trying this beer for years on the basis of not wanting to further line Jimmy Buffet’s pockets and thus subsidizing his continued existed. I have come to realize though that I was falling behind on my cheap American beer rating pace and so I knew I needed to sacrifice my principles for the sake of changing a number on a beer rating website. All great men are men of compromise, my father always told me.

This beer appears to be an Americanized riff on Corona based on it’s packaging and that tastes about right too. It is a clear yellow color with no head whatever. The nose is lightly grainy and uneventful. There is something in there resembling the skunk of light-struck hops but it’s faint and causes little harm in the end. The texture here is fizzy but kind of thick and sweet regardless which is sort of an uncomfortable balance. There is a nice firm bitterness in the finish so it has that going for it at least. I am not distraught at having bought this six pack just to rate it but, really, I could have done a lot better for six bucks.

Mild grain sweetness with a slight off-flavor. Basic pale lager, not really that good.

Pours light straw /piss colored, which, incidently, is close to how it tastes. Well, that was a bit harsh. There are some faint malt aromas, quick finish. Terrible, would never buy it again.

Bottle. Very faint beer aroma. Yeasty malt taste; very simple. Quick finish. Overall, non-descript. Suitable for a trash bucket full of ice at a picnic. Would never buy for myself.

This was the last beer I tasted at the end of the Brew’s Best Beer Fest in Henderson, NV. It was slightly hazy golden with a little white cap. Aromas of mild grain. The mouthfeel had a sticky sweet feeling and a bit watery. The taste is again on the sweet grain side. A pretty decent lager, which surprised me the next day when I found out it was made by AB.

Bottle. Pours a pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma of rice/cereal grains. Flavor is similar with added hints of artificial lemon/lime and plastic/rubber. Very thin and bland. Awful stuff.
