Refreshing aroma of apricot and sweet citrus. Golden color, lots of bubbles, white head, good lace. Pretty bitter, apple, hint of citrus, malty, flat. Alcohol pretty much hidden. Aromas are caramel and grain with a crisp fruitiness. Flavours are grain and crisp citrus with some sweet caramel. Spritzy on the palate. The alcohol in not too harsh. Decent. maeib (4106), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Mar 21, 2006 Bottled at The Criterion Leicester. An old gold coloured beer with a nice white pool of a head and lots of bubbles. The aroma is sweet and malty with some sugars noted. The taste is strong, sweet and malty. More brown sugar flavours. Fizzy, nice and strong. Slightzly sweet cara-malty aroma with a touch of grains, present herbal hops and alcohol. Sweet flavour with a balanced bitterness, full bodied with a pleasant mf. Solid malty base with a well-hidden alcoholic strength; sweet, malt-accented finish with traces of herbal hops and alcohol. Likeable (11.X.08).
