It’s mahogany red with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor has a light sweetness and notes of caramel, malt and a touch of fruit, nuts and a wee bit of chocolate. It’s fairly dry, more so towards the finish.

(bottle) Clear, chestnut-brown colour with a tanned medium-sized foamy head. Mildly toasted malty aroma with shades of caramel and a subtle citric fruity and herbal hoppy touch. Moderately sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Slightly toasted malty taste with distinctively fruity aroma hops; mildly sweet and shy bitter and toasty finish. Delicate and uncommon Dunkel, finally lacks the characteristics of the style. 30.VIII.11

(Bottled) Dark amber color with small head. Mild, slightly sourish and sweet, but overall quite neutral and nonexistent aroma. Some sourness in the flavor, sweet finish. Not really roasted or hopped. Light to medium-bodied, slicky palate with quite low carbonation. Quite uninteresting, middle-of-the-road dunkel without any serious flaws.
