Commercial Description:
Er ist männlich stark, charaktervoll. Durch seine sympathische Röst-Note läuft er süffig über die Zunge.

(bottle) Very dark brown, almost black coloured hue with a small tanned foamy head. Sweet and moderately toasted malty nose, slightly bready and shy fruity (plums) with rudiments of herbal hops. Sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a smooth carbonation. Malty, slightly ashy and slightly fruity taste with notes of alcohol; sweet malt-accented and moderately alcoholic finish with a touch of dried fruits in the aftertaste (19.07.07).

50 cL bottle, courtesy of Papsoe/Ungstrup. Pours dark and clear brown with an off-white head. Toffee and breadish roasted malt aroma. Sweet caramel malty and mild spiced flavoured. Smooth and light hoppy to counterbalance the malt into the finish. Smooth caramelish into the finish.

(Bottle 50 cl) Clear orangey brown with a dense off-white head. Sweetish aroma of roasted malt. Quite full-bodied with sweetish roasted malt, a little rye bread and a whiff of metal. Some alcohol in the finish and some crude and raw bittering hops. 041008

Bottle, 7.5%. Clear dark red brown colour. Quite malty flavour, a little caramelly. There is some bitterness, a little rough, but it balances the sweetness OK.

500ml bottle at Reading BF 08. Very deep brown with thin beige head. Chewy, tasty beer. Very pleased with this one. Toffee flavours, but roasted at the same time and slightly buttery. Tasty and satisfying.
