Ein besonders stark eingebrautes Starkbier. Sehr mild und süffig, Kenner wissen ihn zu schätzen.

BOTTLE 50 CL. Bright clear golden, white head. Clean malty sweetness and some bread. The taste is similar - simple but clean malts and moderate grassy bitterness. Nothing fancy, just a simple clean heller bock. Decent.

Clear golden color with white head. Aroma has nice bread and slight honey notes. Also a bit of alcohol. Taste starts a bit sweet but gets balanced to the finish and leaves a slight honey aftertaste, but without the sweetness. Has also a nice chamomile note in the taste but as a minus, also some boiled vegetables note. Overall this beer has some very nice notes but also some bad ones.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein goldgelbes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch intensiv malzig, würzig, getreidig. Geschmack sehr malzig, leicht fruchtig süß, getreidig.

500ml bottle. Clear golden colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Caramel malty aroma with a spicy malt touch. Taste is minimally spicy malty, some integrated bitter hop; drinkable but nothing special.

50 cl bottle @ Timo A. Rated on 28.02.2011
Aroma is malty with honey, some berries and grain. Flavour is also rather malty with gluey notes, some berries, grain, hints of fruits, toffee and grassy hops. Heller bock is still not my favourite style.

Bottle. Golden, small and fully diminishing head. Moderate malty - lightly grainy and sweetish aroma, some caramel, light fruitiness and faint hoppyness. Medium, malty - lightly grainy and sweetish flavor, light fruitiness and some caramel, light hoppyness with light alcohol. Finish is average, malty - lightly grainy and sweetish, light caramel and light hoppyness, some alcohol. Sweetish bock with caramel - nothing special.

500 ml bottle. From biershop-bayern.de.
Clear pale golden colour with tiny white head. Malty aroma with mild honey and grassy notes. Flavour is unpleasant. Almond and honey sweetness, alcohol (big time) and grassy hops in flavour. Too boozy. Smooth though.

Bottle… February in Franconia (2011)… Clear yellow lager with a small, fluffy, white head. Decent retention. The bouquet is quite simply of honey and pale malt. No hop presence at all, but that’s to be expected of this style. Full-bodied with a buttery mouthfeel and busy carbonation. The flavor is mostly sweet with only nominal bitterness – honey. A touch medicinal. Finishes sweet, minerally and, again, just a hint medicinal. Thanks go out to erlangernick and Koelschtrinker for making this month of Franconia lagers possible!
