A clear yellow beer with a fine though disappearing white head. The aroma contains notes of coriander and hints of wheat. The flavor is sweet and again with notes of coriander and wheat.

UPDATED: JUN 23, 2005 (Bottle 75 cl) Orangey golden, hazy - looks pretty much like a "Hefe Weizen". Huge head. 30% wheat in this brew - and it shows. Very yeasty nose, slightly perfumy. Has a cloying sweetness and in spite of a dry bitterness this beer seems completely out of balance. Lots of diacetyl. 230405

Bottle. Golden coloured. Coconuts and yeast in the aroma. The flavour is bland and wheaty.

This reminded me of a cross between a bitter and a cider.Quite fruity with hints of flowers its a complex and very interesting beer.

Subtle estery aroma, caramel malts, neutral fruits, bubblegum. Belgian yeast. Clear golden amber with thin white lacing head. Medium watery body with light-medium carbonation. Fruity malt start, lychee, bit grassy. Turns more bitter toward finish. Barnyard and herbal tastes. Good sweetness without being cloying. Mild fruity after and touch of bitterness.

Bottled, 0.7 liter. Clear orange/golden coloured, fair head. Typical " biere de garde" aroma. Smooth malty flavour. While i don’t really like the style i must say this one is pretty good.

muzzlehatch (4424) - Burlington, Vermont, USA - NOV 2, 2004
Biere de Garde and Various Oddments tasting, #4, with MartinT, Rastacouere and tiggmtl. Small bottle. Pale clear gold, little head despite the fierce time that was had with the cork. Sweet, lightly spicy and tangy spicy orange nose. Just a touch more noticeable alcohol than usual; sweet and earthy with orange candy underpinnings; the body is light and fluffy yet appropriate. One of the more interesting examples from this tasting.

Lemon/orange-citrus but sweet aroma with a nice spiciness although it seems somehow stale. Clear, deep goden coloured with thin white head that diminished to a fine ring. Earthy undertone to a sweet citrus-orange flavour.Sweetness becomes cloying with further sips. Lasting earthy aftertaste. Medium body and light carbonation. Bottle enjoyed with MartinT, muzzlehatch and Rastacouere.

Clear light straw to golden, almost no head. Weird aroma of old basement, cask wood and cement. Extremely original and unlike anything else. It almost smells like a sweet citrusy, candyish and flowery cork. Musty citrusy sweet on the tongue, almost a battery flavour, I couldn’t drink too much of it, mostly sweet on the flavour balance. Medium body, slightly cloying toward the end, feels less carbonated than it really is.
