An interpretation Biere de Garde made with 30% wheat.

Belle blonde qui titre 7°, composée de malt d’orge et de froment, quelques épices lui donnent un parfum d’agrumes qui font sa notoriété depuis plus de 30 ans.

Klares goldgelbes Bier, hohe Karbonisation, viel weißer Schaum. Geruch säuerlich fruchtig, hefig, Essig. Geschmack sehr säueerlich, Kraut, Essig, kaum malzig, gar nicht mein Fall.

Bottle 33cl. Clear medium amber color, tiny bubbles, one finger frothy white head, mostly lasting, recedes eventually to a thin yeasty layer, good lacing; aroma, yeast, dough, peach, lemon, apricot, lemon grass, herbal notes; mild taste, medium sweet and bitter, spicy; medium body, oily to creamy texture, tingly mouthfeel, average carbonation, finish mild dry bitter, slightly sweet, herbal notes, citrus, wee bit soapy; overall a very good beer, very refreshing too.

Bottle, 75cL. Home. An orange opaque beer with brown hues. Big white foam with a good retention. Aroma of fruits (citrus, peach), spices, biscuit. Medium sweet, light to medium dry bitter refreshing. Medium body, silky-oily texture, average carbonation, medium sweet finish. Overall, aroma with many colors, a bit too rightful for Angelus time don’t you think ? Pleasant.

33cl. Déçu, je n’ai pas retrouvé l’Angelus que je dégustais plusieurs années auparavant (75cl). Beaucoup plus maltée, plus d’amertume et moins fruitée que mes précédentes dégustations.

750ml bottle 11/1/14 (Courtesy Of TerryR)-40° in Tulip-Pours a hazy golden with a small loose white head. Aroma of wheat, citrus, yeast, and a little funk. Taste of the same with some sweetness coming in. This light bodied brew is well balanced and darn tasty.

Bottle shared with Bruce and Colin - picked up at Kasteelhof (I think). Pours clear gold with a moderate, white foam head. Sugary bread on the nose with hints of floral hops. Big sweet flavor with ripe orange and other citrus, heavy bread, faint floral and straw bitterness. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Mild warmth on the finish with some syrupy sweetness, more floral bitterness, hay, cereal. Simple and sweet.
