An interpretation Biere de Garde made with 30% wheat.

Belle blonde qui titre 7°, composée de malt d’orge et de froment, quelques épices lui donnent un parfum d’agrumes qui font sa notoriété depuis plus de 30 ans.

Malts and honey aroma. Tangy hop flavour. Strong on the metallic aftertaste. Flat texture, hardly any carbonation.

750ml corked and caged green bottle. Hazy yellow-tan body. Lots of rising carbonation bubbles meet a soapy white head. A touch of sour wheat and smooth, subdued French malt. I love the doughy, sublime mouthfeel of an authentic Biere de Garde. Lemony wheat and noble hops up front give it just a faint twang, otherwise it is just straightforward malt smoothness. Almost has some cider tendencies. Very enjoyable beverage.

Shared a 75cl bottle from Cora (Luxembourg). Pours an almost clear golden colour with a nice white head that rapidly disappear. Fine lacing, though. Aroma is malty, wheat and citrus. Average lively carbonation and medium to light body. Taste is medium bitter, light sweet and a bit sour/acid/metallic. Not so balanced and with a very dry metallic finish. Overall, a nice beer but with some downs in the flavour/taste.

White Head with large bubbles and orange flavors. Body is light orange and thick. Texture is dense with loads of particles. Very good balance with some bitterness, probably achieved because it was opened on the very last month advised on the bottle. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

750ml bottle, shared by Brandon. Mostly clear golden yellow color. Thin white, sort of bubbly head. Couple dots of lace. Really odd nose.. Candy sugar, caramel malt, musty old hops, sort of soapy, wheat... Very sweet overall. And salty? Medium to bigger body, lighter sort of soft, lightly rough carbonation. More dry finish. Very out there.. Too sweet and soapy for me. Not a fan.

Slightly hazy yellow colour, white head. Aroma of yeast, hops, funk and citrus. Fresh sour aroma, lemon, citric acid. Funky finish, hops and citrus. Nice beer! Wondering if the funk was intended, but it works quite well regardless.
(From 75cL bottle @ joes’ place. Shared by Benzai, thanks!)

Countbeer (5985) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - OCT 24, 2013
Bottle: Served in a taster: Medium sized white foamy lacing on top of a hazy yellow colored beer. Aromas of lemon, yeast, some caramel, hay, grains, mild sauerkraut and spiced herbs. Flavours of lemon, tart, wheat, hay, herbs, floral tones, berries, grapes. Infected but a better Biere de Garde. Aftertaste is a mix of tartness, wheat, grains, corn, soap and hay. Low carbo, tingly tart mouthfeel, medium bodied and a creamy texture.

Bottle shared with Dutchdrebus, Joes, Martinus and Countbeer. Hazy yellow color, medium sized white head. Smell and taste malts, pretty sourish, a bit salty (or is it the cheese?), citrussy. Slightly dry finish, average body and carbonation. Meh.
