COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

My Bottom Line:
This rough Pale Ale shares citrusy and leafy hop flavors and bitterness which are awash in straight yeast.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam tops the cloudy beige.
-This is highly effervescent, almost overly carbonated.
-There is a lot of yeast in the bottle. I understand it’s for natural carbonation, but a better dosage would make the flavors brighter.
-The hop bitterness is salient but astringent.
-This is flavorful and different for Spain, but it needs work to reach Guineu-like quality.

Bottle.

Bottle. Pours a rather hazy amber color with a moderate off white head on there. Nose has some nice fruity citrus notes to it and smells like a pleasant pale ale. Taste is slightly bitter, but has a fairly fresh taste to it.

(33 cl bottle from Casa Evaristo; Bbd: May 2014; Lot: 130522 DH) Pours a cloudy a golden with a huge off-white head. Bit of a gusher actually. Beautiful lacework even if the head dissipates leaving a film. Aroma is biscuit and citrus. Oily texture, medium carbonation, medium body and a dry and slightly bitter finish. Flavour has aroma notes and is mostly dry and slightly bitter. Quite drinkable and clean tasting.

Bottle: Poured a deep cloudy amber color ale with a large enough head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of dry grainy malt with light cereal notes is pleasant enough. Taste is also dominated by grainy notes with nice cereal notes and light dry bitter hops. Body is full enough for style with good carbonation. Not much complexity but nice presence of cereal notes and good drinkability level.
