Aroma is raisiny with a little molasses, brown sugar, figs, chocolate and coffee. Flavor/mouthfeel is a little tart: raisins, some roasty-toasty notes and something sour I can’ t exactly put my finger on.

Bottled. A black beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of hops, lemons, chocolate, and roasted malt, leading to a dry roasted finish.

Smoked black color; head is not huge but perfectly formed: crumbly and brown, very persistent. Good lacing. Aroma is delicate: malty, cloves, cocoa, roasted coffee. Body is light to moderate. Carbonation is moderate; alcohol is well present. well balanced finish, average bitterness. Taste is led by cocoa and coffee perfectly balanced .

I love this beer! Pours from the bottle almost like it had a widget. Fine bubbles build from the bottom of the glass into a big creamy tan colored head on a dark black body. Aroma is super roasty - bitter chocolate, cafe con leche, toast. the mouthfeel is surprisingly creamy, silky and smooth. The flavors are huge with espresso bean, baking chocolate, some vanilla creaminess and black cherry. sweet flavors in a really dry bitterness make this a dessert in an of itself. A great stout.
