COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lapin Kulta Arctic Malt Dark Lager valmistetaan 100%:sesti kotimaisesta, panimoamme lähellä viljellystä ohrasta, jonka meille toimittaa tuttu sopimusviljelijä. Vesi on harjujen suodattamaa puhtainta pohjavettä. Näistä parhaista pohjoisen luonnon raaka-aineista syntyy ainutlaatuinen maku, jossa on täysmaltaisuuden tuomaa tukevuutta ja pehmeyttä. Maku, jolla on juuret. Olut on parhaimmillaan 16-18 -asteisena.

Clear, pale reddish brown beer with a white head. Sweet malt notes on the nose. Sweet bread and vegetables in the flavors. Not very crisp mouth feel. Watery body.

Senka (558) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - DEC 25, 2013
35cl bottle. Aroma of caramel, brown sugar, molasses and some cellar dampness. Pours clear amber, with thick, beautiful head. Well balanced taste, not exactly amber lager I enjoy, but definitely much more nicer than some "vienna" beers from Austria. Bottle/can is worth a try, but the price they want for that in Vantaa airport is just obscene.

Marduk (2980) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - DEC 20, 2013
350ml bottle. Clear dark golden color. Medium size, off-white head, stays. Caramel, malts, mild honey, touch of plastic and sweet notes in aroma. Sugars (like sugar cubes type of sugar), malty, caramel in taste. Weird grassy and grainy side taste. Watered down vienna, but certainly not a horror.

500ml can. Amber colour and a small off-white head. Notes of roasted malt and grains in the aroma. Medium sweetness and some bitterness in the taste. Light-bodied with average carbonation.

Just when you think that Lapin can't get worse. Disappointing toilet water colour. No real taste or distinguishing feature other than it is not as metallic as the other Lapin 'urine' beer. One does not want to admit to being Finnish with beer like this. Lidl's cheapest beer is way better than this. This is a chemical soup with colouring. Eww ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

gyllenbock (5027) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - SEP 16, 2013
Can from a local food store in Pello, Finland, September 2013. Clear amber with a small head. This was better than expected. Malt, caramel, some grain and light fruit.

KoNrRiI (517) - Århus, DENMARK - SEP 11, 2013
0.35 bottle. Light brown color, looks like watered-down cola, medium-sized white head, quite thin. Aroma is dominated by malty scents, some honey, a little bit of cocoa beans, nuts and a small touch of rum. Taste is an attenuated version of a bock, sweet malts and caramel which are offset by a delicate, roast bitterness. Light body, thin texture with slight slick inclinations and a soft carbonation. Finish is short and sweet as well, again mostly composed of malty flavors. Considering the beer’s commercial origins it is not bad at all.

Zarkam (461) - Helsinki, FINLAND - SEP 7, 2013
350ml bottle from Lidl. Clear amber colour with a small white head. Slightly toasty aroma of grain, hay and grass with a hint of nuts. Surprisingly much character when thinking of the crap the major breweries around here usually put out...

djoeye (1843) - Tromsø, NORWAY - SEP 5, 2013
50cl alu-can from K Kilpisjärvi FI. Low off-white head on a bright copper body. Scents from grains, herbs, strawberry. Tastes roasted caramels, malt, toast. Gentle light bitter mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Not much watery. Aftertaste some dark bread, syrup, malt candies.
