Lapin Kulta Arctic Malt Pils valmistetaan 100%:sesti kotimaisesta, panimoamme lähellä viljellystä ohrasta, jonka meille toimittaa tuttu sopimusviljelijä. Vesi on harjujen suodattamaa puhtainta pohjavettä. Näistä parhaista pohjoisen luonnon raaka-aineista syntyy ainutlaatuinen maku, jossa on täysmaltaisuuden tuomaa tukevuutta ja pehmeyttä. Maku, jolla on juuret.

Pouring out the head is nice and white but crashes down and in less than 2 minutes is completely gone. Color well its allright golden and what it should be. Thats probably the only disdinctive property of a Pils. No smell of Saaz hops to my nose rather some kind of a sweet maybe honey or little malty notes. Tastes like regular premium lager and regular amount of bitterness hops for Finnish mass production (that means almost no hops). Maybe IBU 12-15. Aftertaste is like a flat beer with no character. Conclusion. Dont even try it. Maybe in 6 months when they are still on the shelves you can buy with dicount to throw it on the heater in the sauna to get malty aroma.

Bottle. Golden body, medium to small head. Aroma has fizzy CO2 and hints of malt. Taste has a touch more of metallic hops than the regular Lapin Kulta, otherwise it’s the same yellow fizzy beer. I don’t see this as a Pilsener. I guess it’s true what they say about this beer...

suurjuust (2039) - ESTONIA - MAR 5, 2014
Pale yellow, small white head that disappears immediately. Nose is corn, malt, some hop hints. Taste is malt, corn, sweet notes, water. Finish is corn, vague industrial bitterness. Not offensive, I suppose it’s okay for chugging. And the bottle cap was nice, had a compass and everything.

350ml bottle. Pale yellow color. Tiny to almost no head. Malty, corny aroma. Just plain watery malty brew. Blehh.

Senka (964) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - DEC 25, 2013
35cl bottle. Refreshing, resembles pilsener, looks pale and has typical aroma. Watery and thin. But the advertisement says it is Finnish to the bone - this beer is worth a try only because of that.

0.35 bottle. Pours a pale, gold liquid with a medium, white, quite creamy head. Typical hop aroma with some pale malts, grain and hay. Malty taste, mostly corn, grain and hay; rather sweet and standard though not bad. Medium body, slightly creamy texture and soft carbonation. Finish is medium long and a tad less sweet than the taste but features the same flavors. Overall the beer is not bad for a pils, gives the impression of some quality at least unlike most others.

Nijstrom (272) - Turku, FINLAND - NOV 23, 2013
