The best Lapin Kulta - beer I have tasted. Much more taste than in regular finnish lager.

UPDATED: DEC 9, 2011 330ml bottle from Alepa

Pours reddish brown with a large bubbly head. Slightly metallic and malty aroma with hints of caramel. Taste is bready and malty with slightly metallic notes. Finish is carbonated and sticky. Decent for a bulky lager.

adamnase (131) - Kronoby, FINLAND - NOV 26, 2011
Pours dark amber with a semi high head. Mostly malts in aroma. Flavor is malts and caramel(too sweet and offensive for my taste). In my opinion not a "real" christmas beer because i cant get the christmas-like taste from it.

Miksu (4947) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - NOV 12, 2011
0.33 l bottle from Prisma, Jyväskylä. Dark amber color. Aromas of caramel and bread. Fairly bready taste with toffee, nuts and herbal bitterness in finish. Not sweet, not dry. Hint of metal in aroma and finish. Tastes richer that typical Finnish supermarket lagers, which is a good thing. Balance is towards malt, although herbal bitter finish is typical for finish mass lagers.

oh6gdx (20295) - Vasa, FINLAND - NOV 9, 2011
Bottled (from Prisma, Vaasa): Very deep ruby red colour with a mediumsized off-white foamy head. Aroma is toasted malts, mild toasted nuts as well as some grains. Flavour is big time bitterness meeting a big toasted wooden and toasted malty tone. Ashy aftertaste. Quite aggressive flavour that is a bit out of balance.

Bottle. Dark amber small to average and fully diminishing light brown head. Light to moderate, malty and sweetish aroma, some caramel, light roasted malt and dark bread with caramel. Body is light to medium, malty and sweetish flavor, light roasted malt and dark bread with caramel. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish, some roasted malt, faint hoppyness and dark bread. OK lightly sweetish organic dark lager - vienna, bit too much dark bread and caramel for me.

33 cl, bottled. Pours clear red with a nice beige head. Aroma: Malt. Mild hops. Taste: Intermediate sweetness, balancing bitterness. Malty flavours, bread. Palate: Soft and light, but supportive maltiness. Average carbonation. M’eh.

esox (1036) - Oulu, FINLAND - NOV 5, 2011
Bottled. Dark amber colour, lacy white head diminishes into thin film. Fresh, pleasantly hoppy nose has herbal and grassy notes and slight pepperiness. Light, chocolatey malt aroma with some roasted bread. Dryish and medium bitter taste, finishes a bit sweeter with caramelly and roasted notes and nice bitterness. Light body, slightly watery finish. Nice brew that would be even nicer with some additional malts.

TBone (12541) - Pori, FINLAND - NOV 4, 2011
Bottled 330ml (BB 03/2012)
Deep chestnut color, small off-white head. Nose is a bit harsh with toasted malts, hay, metal, coffee and brown sugar. Light to medium-bodied but watery palate. Coffeish, caramelly, lingering toastyness. Harsh bitterness in the aftertaste. Not too bad, stronger version could be quite ok.
