This, now retired, Lapin Kulta Talviolut ("Winter beer") was sold as a chrismas seasonal beer. In 2011 this is replaced by Lapin Kulta Jouluolut Luomu (Organic Christmas Beer).

Light, bulky dark lager. Can’t locate the christmasness in it, though.
2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 BeerBaboon (967) - FINLAND - NOV 16, 2010
White 0,33l bottle. Actually says jouluolut on the bottle. It means that it is supposed to be a christmas beer. Anyway... the off white head goes down fast but what is left of it in the end is rather stubborn. Malty aroma with notes of vegetables and caramel. Hajussa tuntuu jostain syystä myös olevan lihakuutiota. :) Flavour is some roasted malts.
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Nordcore (635) - Lyngen alps, NORWAY - OCT 16, 2010
(Lapin kulta Joululut III?) Deep red with a small white head. Aroma; sweet malty with a hoppy sence. Flavor; sweet malt and some dark fruits.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 lusikka (2536) - Tampere, FINLAND - SEP 28, 2010
330 ml white bottle. Rated @ 23.11.2009.
Brown colour with a beige head. Weak aroma of malts and some grains. Flavour of malts and bread. Light bodied with a thin mouthfeel. Drinkable.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 wunderbier (1434) - Tampere, FINLAND - AUG 26, 2010
from old notes Red-tinted brown hue under a fluffy, buff head. Moderate malts with raisins and brown sugar; grassy and toasty on the side. Soft malty sweetness, a bit of hop-prickle then toasty and perhaps a bit of paper. Fluffy carbonation, oily texture and a touch thick.
Somewhat surprisingly flavorful, even if slightly below average.
50 cl can, best before April 2009.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 austone (1062) - Turku; Pori, FINLAND - FEB 19, 2010
33cl bottle as Joulu III. Really beautiful, sparkling dark ruby brown, medium-sized light beige head. Nose is coldness, some malt syrup and cooked vegies, hints of manure. Flavor is slightly salty with modest minerals and sweetish molasses, little licorice along with coarse herbal bitterness in the finish. Light to medium bodied, strong and a tad fizzy palate. Actually brings Newcastle brown to mind quite a bit, nothing too terrible here.
2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Archibaldo de la Cruz (845) - FINLAND - NOV 13, 2009
Bottle. Dark amber colour with a small white head. Quite light malty aroma. The flavour is malty with some sweetness and notes of caramel, pine and rye. Quite low bitterness. Not the worst one from this brewery.
2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Chaasrainer (13) - FINLAND - NOV 10, 2009
Clear dark amber in color with a nice beige head that lasts quite long. Appearance is probably the best part of this beer, since the aroma is rather mild with some grassy hops and metallic notes, and pretty much nothing else. What surprised me at this point was that it had at least some flavor, the grassy hops are there and the metallic notes too, but some pleasant sweet malts bring some balance and body to this brew. Palate is thin and lightly carbonated which didn’t surprise me at all. This is not quite what I want from a dark winter beer but at least the white bottle is beautiful and worth one overall point.
