3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 oh6gdx (16098) - Vasa, - NOV 3, 2006
Bottled as Talvi Lapin Kulta (or Lapin Kulta Talvi depending on how you look at it), also 6.5%, so most likely the same beer, that has been kicked alive again in November 2006 after a few years "pause" off the market. Dark copperish amber colour, small white head, that leaves a bit of lace. Aroma is roasted malts, alcohol and rye. Flavour is at first toffeeish, and then turns into big roasted malts. Slight caramellishness. The roast stays for long in the aftertaste. A nice beer from Hartwall (when did they last time put anything good on the markets before this? last winter?). Still one slightly negative thing, it has some weird sweetness in it, that kind of cuts in with the rest of the flavours. Overall a very good one.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 MiP (11783) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - NOV 7, 2007
Bottle, 6.5%. Four months past BB date. Sweet brown sugar aroma. Clear dark brown/chestnut colour. Very small head. Thin mouthfeel, but with some flavour. Quite roasted and a little bready. Hint of pepper. Well-balanced.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 heemer77 (4801) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - SEP 17, 2007
Medium brown and copper body with a light khaki colored head. Teh aroma is definitely plums with some cheap red wine. There is also a little hint of bubblegum and toasted carmel. The taste has some light notes of toffee and peaches. There is also a little bit of good tobacco. A nice subtle dunkel that is very smooth, especially for the big abv. Thanks oh6gdx.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Papsoe (23023) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 2, 2007
(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of tbone_. Clear, orangey brown with a small, rough, off-white head. Aroma of burned caramel and rye bread. Medium body, roasted malt accents, some overripe fruit and a rather raw bitterness in the finish with also some alcohol showing. 180807
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 yespr (22245) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - AUG 19, 2007
33 cL bottle. Pours hazzlenut brown with lacing head. Roasted, rye like malt nose. Malt heavy flavour, dry and roasted rye. This lasts into the finish with a minor bitterness. Decent.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Jukkabro (3473) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUL 24, 2007
(BBE 4/07) Dark red-brown colored, little lasting yellow head. Aroma is nicely sweet with chocolate, caramel and some bready rye tones, not very LapinKulta-aroma. Medium bodied. Flavor is also sweet with caramel and mild chocolate, lemon comes up in aftertaste with some bitter hops and mild alcohol. Positive surprise for LK.
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 omhper (15965) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAY 3, 2007
Bottled, thanks oh6gdx! Dark amber, small creamy head. Aroma of caramel and grass. Medium bodied with syrupymouthfeel. Caramel dominates a much more powerful beer than it’s lighter cousin. Low bitterness. Not bad at all for a Lapin Kulta.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 gnoff (5004) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - APR 24, 2007
(33 cl bottle, thanks oh6gdx!) Clear dark brown to red color, tan head. Sweet bready and grainy malty scent. Sweet spicy, bready and malty taste, a bit of alcohol also. Medium mouthfeel and bitterness.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Dorqui (1552) - Brescia, ITALY - MAR 23, 2007
UPDATED: SEP 13, 2007 Bottled 0,33L.
Dark brown color, slightly "dirty" with a little fizz. Adherent head of good persistence. Aroma of roast malty, burned wood and ash. Mellow and coolness taste with discreet fizz. Elevated alcoholic content with determined and extended bitter on the end.
Thanks to mabjork for this beer.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Bov (7364) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - MAR 1, 2007
courtesy of oh6gdx - slightly hazy dark reddish-amber colour, fine stable pale beige foam leaving a nice lace; slightly toasty and malty nose, unclean aroma of caramel and flowers; sweet, heavy and quite full-bodied, some weird bitterness; the finish shows more malty notes but is quite short and a bit watery - not bad at all but chaotic
