2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 voota (765) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - OCT 9, 2006
UPDATED: FEB 13, 2007 Cask, The rock, Chiddingstone. Pours clear golden with a white cap. Flowery aroma, with some light sweet caramel. Flavour and body are quite basic, with a light sweet caramel body and light flowery, citrus bitterness. Couldn’t help thinking as I drank the pint that it is clearly the smaller , sweeter, less bitter little brother of the Larkins best bitter. Very quaffable, but nothing on the best or traditional.
