COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Traditionally brewed with love since 1825.

Bottle: Pale golden colour, but long lasting foamy layer; slightly hoppy nose, combined with some hints of unmalted barley; initial malty sweetness switches over to a light bitter flavour and a short bitter aftertaste; in some qualites similar to czech Lagers; nothing special, but quite well drinkable.

Different from the Lasko Zlatorog Club (GoldHorn) as far as I can tell from packaging. Pours a clear deep yellow with white bubbley head that dissapates rapidly. Smells like...well just smells like beer, with a hint of mown grass. Tastes typical of an Eastern European lager. Malty start with a bitter finish.

Pale golden colour with a thick white head. Aroma is quite soapy, herbal and leafy hop aroma. Soft carbonation, but the horrible sulfury, soapy flavour is disgusting. Like drinking a bottle of dish detergent. From a 500 ml can, so it isn’t skunked... just gross. Down the drain with this one.

Clear pale golden body with short lasting compact white head. Hops on the nose but I also get cheese. Taste is nothing outstanding but I didn’t find it offensive although my partner did. Slight butter in the taste, thin in the body, some bitterness but not enough for me to truly appreciate this beer. This beer came across a lot better to me than I was expecting, maybe I just had a thirst up.

Pour is a clear yellow with a fizzy head. Aroma is somewhat hoppy but mine was a little skunky. Flavor was nice and smooth. Probably more malts than an averge pils but this is pretty decent. Prob a notch under a pilsner urguell. Also holy crap, a brown bottle from eastern europe!

Aromas of grassy hops, sulfer, and canned peas dominate this pale yellow pilsner. Fairly watery body, with a touch of sweet malt and cheese (perhaps stale hops?). Not completely bad, but not very good either.

UPDATED: SEP 18, 2004 Certainly better than the original Zlatorog. This one is nothing special too, a plain, plain smelling tasting pils?, with nothing really wrong with it, and nothing that’s really good about it. But, it’s easy to drink and inoffensive, which is good in some situations.
