"Dark Lager"
Ingredients: Water, Malt, Roasted malt, Unmalted cereals, Hops
The elite among beers: this is because of its nobility and fullness, rich taste and effect. It used to come to the table to crown a banquet. Today a glass of dark beer on the bar is something usual. Dark beer drinkers are cosmopolitan in outlook, sybaritic by nature and are true connoisseurs of taste.

There were moments when I didn’t think this was that bad. Big head, burning off. Dark but still translucent. Metallic edge in the aroma, less apparent in the flavor. Some good caramel, a little warming, moments that reminded me of an English bitter, a little roasted quality and a hint of spice. Drinkable. Bottle bought in Macedonia.

Quite dark, no head. Full body, creamy texture, fizzy carbonation. Coffee nose. Medium sweet and medium bitter. Aroma is roasted malt with a hint of coffee. Surprisingly good for a Laško beer. (Konzum 0,33l bottle)

Dark brown color, brown-white head. Aroma of roasted malt, bread, some coffee. Watery mouthfeel (positive!), notes of dark malt, caramel, some fruit notes. Nice bitterness, medium carbonation.

Reddish brown color, thin tan head. Medium body, average carbonation. Aroma is chocolate, roasted malt, some hoppines. It’s very light beer with light sweet and light bitter taste. It lacks complexity. Other than that, it’s a decent dunkel.

UPDATED: APR 6, 2014 Pours a good looking dark brown, almost completely black color and a small beige head with weak retention. The aroma is pleasantly roasted with some coffee and feels slightly dusty. The taste has some roastiness and is slightly sweet (no coffee taste, I like it), turning into a bittery finish. Easy to drink and just enough taste. Thumbs up.

Sötétbarna szín, világosbézs nagy hab, ami elég kitartó. Gyenge intenzitású illat, cukros, mazsolás, eleinte kissé fémes. Közepesen szénsavas, közepesen testes. Mérsékelten édes ízében lágyan pörkölt maláta, étcsokoládé és enyhe gyümölcsös savanykásság. Utóíze finoman kesernyés, kis alkoholos melegséggel.

Bottle from Mam and Dad’s holiday, Italy. This very dark brown beer has ruby red highlights and a quickly disappearing tan head. It has a slight chocolate and roasted malty flavour, light coffee notes and a sweet fruity finish. Disappointing for its relatively high ABV.

Thanks to MisoW for the bottle! Pours deep brown with orange highlights and a thick tan head. The smell is dark roasted malt, coffee, chocolate. The taste is fruit, and the aforementioned notes ending nicely dry. The body is light/medium with nice carbonation.

330ml bottle from Montenegroi Gurman, Budapest, clear dark brown colour, frothy medium mostly lasting off-white head, good lacing. Moderate to heavy roasted malty aroma with a fair bit of caramel, cereal and a hint of chocolate light floral hops. Flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter, the bitterness increasing a bit towards the end, shortish lightly astringent finish. Lively carbonation, medium body, oily texture. Not a bad dark lager, would’ve been downright excellent if the sweetness was less dominant.
