"Dark Lager"
Ingredients: Water, Malt, Roasted malt, Unmalted cereals, Hops
The elite among beers: this is because of its nobility and fullness, rich taste and effect. It used to come to the table to crown a banquet. Today a glass of dark beer on the bar is something usual. Dark beer drinkers are cosmopolitan in outlook, sybaritic by nature and are true connoisseurs of taste.

Pours a clear dark body with a thin head. Almost no aroma. Thin taste with a hint of hops and a bitterness at the end. Dark? No, tastes like a normal lager.

Dark with an aroma of sweet malts followed by a surprisingly heavy stoutiness. Decent bitter finish. All in all not bad but I found the body somewhat lacking for its strength. A welcome change though from all those dreadful lagers.

Bottle in Bled. Pours dark red-brown with a large but diminishing tan head. The aroma is toasted malt, caramel malt, some chocolate and coffee notes. The flavour is fairly smooth, sweet malt, with some milky chocolate and coffee in the background. Not bad, just boring.

Zapach z butelki: Palono-chlebowy. Piana: Obfita, brązowa, drobnopęcherzykowa. Oblepia ścianki szkła wzorkami. Średnio trwała. Kolor: Klarowne, miedziane. Zapach: Mieszanka paloności kawy zbożowej, trochę orzechów i chlebowości. Pod tym lekka nuta kakao. Smak: Podbudowa niewielka, piwo dość wytrawne. Paloność przypalonego chleba, obecna kwasność charakterystyczna dla ciemnego słodu. Posmak taniej, gorzkiej czekolady. Tekstura: Ciało średnie. Piwo odrobinę kwaskowe. Nasycenie: Średnio-niskie.

BlackHaddock (4034) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - AUG 28, 2014
Shared bottle at the 23rd Aug 2014 Midlands meet. I thought this was OK for a Dunkel, they are often a bit thin and tasteless, this had body, depth and a good feel to it. Pours dark brown with a beige head. Semi-sweet malty nose and taste, hints of caramel with a fruity undertone. Good body for a Dunkel, as mentioned earlier: one of the better in this style I have tried.
