Bottle. Pours deep redish with a 2 " creamy tan head.. Strong dark malts in aroma, semisweet taste, traces of pepper and roast coffee, long lasting bitter aftertaste.

Bottle (thanks to Afrika-David). Looks like and has the same carbonation and texture as coca cola. Add some smoke and metallic off-tastes and you get the picture. It’s not bad tasting, just a quite bad beer...

Die schöne Schaumkrone in dunkler Farbe hält gut, farblich ist der Körper richtig temno. Es riecht stark röstig und schmeckt auch röstig, geniales Dunkles ähnelt schon der Sorte Porter gefällt mir sehr gut! Dark brown color with big head. It’s sweet but not fruity. Roasted at the end. Decent dark beer.

I pored this beer into a dimple mug. Appearance I’ve very dark with a dark ruby hew when held up to the light and has a light tan head. Aroma is very hoppy. Flavour is quite surprising and not very strong like I expected. It is slightly bitter with a little bit of nuts. And it is a little dry across the pallet. Overall this beer did not peak my interest well but it is not bad.

Not bad for a Slovenian beer. Darkish brown with an okay head, the effervescence of which brings the coffee sweet aroma to your nose. Medium body.

Clear medium to dark red brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, dark bread, roasted, caramel. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration, thin, dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20120104]

Just on cold trying this, the beer not me. Looks great in the glass; deep russet brown, bright, with a very fine, very tight bead and a full, silky smooth, compact crown that is lasting. Powdery cocoa and gritty chocolate malt on the nose with a hint of spice, very clean and full. Sweet, toffee fuelled chocolate malts in the mouth. Quite full in body for a Dunkel, very smooth with a velvety finish. A little peat and burnt wood, earth an ash fill it out, lingering long after each swallow and detracting of the sweet front. A light weedy edge and sharpness develops light, the swallow only moderately bitter, more from malt than hop. Actually not too bad a drop given the use of ’unmalted cereals’.
