2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle at home, 330ml, thanks to MarkoNm. Into a taster, ABV 7.6%
Clear amber colour, lots of activity in it. One finger of thin tan headm with good retention, leaving light lacing on the glass.
Very heavy malty aroma, like it’s a non alcoholic one, very sweet, caramel, hay.
Taste mostly of caramel and malts, fortunately not as heavy as the aroma implied. Very sweet though and quite artificial, especially the alcohol on the aftertaste seems like they poured pure ethanol to boost it up.
Medium thin body, okay carbonation. Sticky palate.
Not a good one, macro produced bocks, like the ones I find here from Grolsch and Bavaria. Okay for one time only.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle, courtesy of Kita. It has a surprising, liqueur-like feel, and partly resembles an English strong ale due to its (red) fruitiness, raisin notes and toasted malty sweetness. Not bad indeed.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle from Mam and Dad’s holiday, France. This is a golden-amber beer with a sweet malty and toffee flavour, slight burnt toffee and almond notes with a sweet, warming vanilla finish. Rather thin and weak for its high ABV.
