Dark brown body, foamy tan head. Dark malt and chocolate aroma, sweet with a weird sourish tone. Flavor of chocolate and fish food. Weird but actually quite interesting. Foamy mouthfeel.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Ungstrup (24024) - Oamaru, NEW ZEALAND - JUL 31, 2005
A dark red-brown beer with a disappearing brown head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of alcohol, but also notes of roasted malt. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of oil and nuts, leading to a dry end.

(Bottle 33 cl) Beautiful clear, very dark brown with a light reddish glow. Lightly roasted nose. Sweetish touch of coffee, or perhaps rather like fresh coffee beans. But a strange, light body which doesn’t really balance the dark malts. 270705

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Aldrighetti (162) - Coltura, ITALY - SEP 9, 2004
Bottle. Dark ruby coloured, light brownish head. Aroma is full of dark malt, weak herbal-hop aroma. Hint of corn sweetness in flavor, with a clear alcohol note. Roasted malt bitterness. Medium to light body, I am relatively quite sure it is not an all-malt beer. Not bad at all.
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20 CEZ (391) - Milano, ITALY - FEB 18, 2003
I see many high ratings here, but, to be sincere, I don't have good memories of this one. Very dark. Looks like a glass of coke, with a compact head. It's bitter as it should be, but, unfortunately, alcohol seems to get in the flavor. Maybe it's me, or maybe it was my bottle. I'll try to give it a second chance.

What a surprise: a schwarzbier with a stoutish porter-like finish, from Slovenia!Must be some Blackmalt to make that dry finish in the palate.
