A typical Black Forset pils: more flowery than fruity, with a pleasant bitter finish; often served too gassy, and can be metallic if poorly stored; there is some bottle variation, which shows that it is not a sterile, industrilally brewed beer; it is subtle, but very pleasant on its own: too delicate for food

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Bierkrug (1666) - Idar-Oberstein (In East Africa), Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - MAY 17, 2011
500 ml bottle at home in Germany, thanks to shrubber85. Is a clear gold color with few carbs and a nice fading white head. Aroma is crisp hops, citrus, and fruity malt. Taste is sweet and fruity as a southern Pils is. Palate bends you over into a more northern type as it is bitter and dry. An average beer and a normal Pils.
