Sampled at the ’12 GABBF. Dark beer with mahogany hints on the edges. Creamy beige head that left sticky lace on the glass. Roasted grain nose with a hint of something lactic. Lots of dusty chocolate, roast grains, some fruit and a noticable acidity. Not what I think of as a foreign stout, but very nice none the less.

Dark black in color, clear with a thin head. Dark malt and chocolate, coffee aroma and flavors. Rich and thick taste this was a very tasty Stout.

22 oz bottle from the brewery. Clear dark brown with a thick tan head. Aroma is chocolate and coffee mostly with a faint fruity quality. Flavor is rich chocolate and mellow coffee, not much roast flavors. Medium body with average carbonation and a dryish mouth feel. Solid, easy drinking stout, almost like a porter.

Draft at GABBF. Very dark maroon brown, thick brown head with good retention. Aroma of coffee grounds and cocoa. Taste is cocoa powder, burnt coffee very nice, especially for a 6% beer.
