Cask in the Cock Tavern, E8. Came a very dark black colour with not much head. Definitely an oily treacly feel, both in appearance and texture. As the blurb states it is hoppy but not overpoweringly so - allows the nice roasty stout character to come through and then leaves a nice moreish bitter finish. Good stuff!

From London Beer Market and drunk at home. black beer lasting tan head. Quite a coffeeish stout. In fact very coffeeish. Its quite tasty, could do with being a touch fuller in the mouth maybe. Some dryness on the finish. Its fine. Coffee is ok.

Cask at the wenlock. Expected a pale ale based on the name but instead got a hoppy, bitter stout. Hops to start, fading to a modest stout character, decent, some cocoa aroma.

Gravity pour at Beer Rebellion. Pours a deep dark brown with a very thin tan head. Aroma is toasty, choc, a little coffee, cake. Medium body, a hint of zingy carbonation. A slight sweetness before going into bitter coffee, choc, caramel, lemon with a nice lingering bitter finish. OK. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cask gravity dispense at Beer Rebellion. It pours darkest brown with a small bubbly beige head. The nose is roasty, coffee, brown bread, liquorice, permanent marker pen and rubber. The taste is mellow roasted malt, earth, coffee, mild acidity, ash and decent bitterness with a lingering dry, roasted finish. Medium body and low carbonation. Would be nicer with better condition, but still alright.
