(33cl bottle thanks to bu11zeye) Black with coca head. Smells deeply smoky, toasted rye bread. Aroma is really smoke dominated. Taste is equally smoky (or even more so) like I’m sitting in the pit of a just put out campfire. Quite bitter and light. Also rather dry. Eh.

Very dark brown bodied with a tan somewhat frothy head. The aroma can be simply described as milk chocolate, in both the creamyness as well as the nutty hits this has. Taste is not too dry, giving a full feeling for a 4.8% stout, but a bit too heavy on the carbonation. Nice long finish. Nothing spectacular but a well executed stout with good body. Bottled. A red-brown beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of sweet and roasted malt, leading to a dry roasted finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Koelschtrinker (8619) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 17, 2011
Dezent schokoladiig malziger Abgang. Nett. 12/9/9/11/8/9

Bottle at home. Pours dark, ruby-brown with a medium, beige head. Rich, roasty malts on the nose, light cocoa and dark berries. Light to medium sweet, light mocha and roast, some semi-sharp, faintly tart fruits. Light in body with fine to average carbonation. Nice finish, mildly sweet with a rich roastiness, dark chocolate, a bit of char and tobacco. A pretty good beer.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a deep dark brown with a reddish hue and a light brown head. Hard roast aroma with an underlying fresh and tart fruitiness. Light body, sweet hard roast and some vanilla and ashes. Dryish finish with a little malty bitterness. Pleasant. 150211
