Camel Corps is our interpretation of a classic West Coast / San Diego IPA… but with a bit of a Kiwi twist. A golden straw color with a moderately persistent white head and woody citrus notes in the aroma, American Two-Row and English Pale and Crystal malts offer a dry, but sweet flavor. This is balanced by citrus notes from Cascade hops, and accentuated with pineapple, grapefruit and spices derived from New Zealand Matueka hops. Dry Hopped with Columbus.

22oz bottle picked up at Country Wine & Spirits in Carlsbad
Pours cloudy amber with a medium sized off-white head and good lacing. Aroma is caramel, earthy, grassy and pine. Taste is grapefruit, floral, mild sweetness with a pine resin finish
A decent IPA. Honestly, I didn’t like it at first but the more I drink it the better it is.

Sampled at the brewery on 3/21/2013. This IPA pours a medium orange gold color from the tap. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, slightly hoppy. A medium to light bodied IPA. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are citrusy and fruity, some pineapple and floral, Decent carbonation. The bitterness is not in your face, but its there and lingers a long while. Nice use of the Matueka hop, nice grapefruit and pineapple flavor. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

On tap at The Local in San Diego. Pours a deep orange with minimal head. Nose shows grapefruit, pine, caramel and hint of toffee. Taste is quite thick and syrupy. Lots of toffee and caramel dominate up front, bit of pine comes along with the slight bitter finish. Solid but was expecting something a little more fruity. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Split this beer with my Dad after a day of working to finish our basement. Was a bit of a gusher when popped. Poured dark for style with big, bit white head. Scent was earthy pine. Hops seemed a bit faded. Received bottle in trade, hence, no way to verify freshness. Bottle - Received in Trade

Aroma is nice citrus with sublte kiwi and unique tropical fruits. Very nice lasting head. Taste is fairly bitter. Palate is a bit rough but not outside of IPA realm. In general a nice IPA and a unique aroma.
