A dark colored full bodied ale brewed with six different kinds of malts and six different kinds of hops. Based on the traditional English style strong ales but with an American strong ale twist with five hop additions. This one is sure to please.

Frisch vom Hahn im Hopfenreich. Schwarzbraun, fast undurchsichtig. Süßlich, malzig mit einem Hauch von Lakritze.

Draft at Hopcat in Grand Rapids. Pours a dark brown. Aroma and taste are sweet malts upfront with a slight bitterness in the finish.

Draft to taster at Latitude 42. Looks good for the style; a mostly transparent amberish brown with foamy light beige head. Smells bittersweet, malty, and toasty. Tastes like it smells with a solid mouthfeel. Enjoyable.

Pours dark brown. Served too cold to get much aroma. Taste is malty with a small hops presence that unveils itself at the end with a slightly bitter finish. Hides the 7.5% well. Medium mouthfeel. Good but not great. To be fair, I didn’t have time to let it warm to a proper temp for a better review.
