BückDich (4605), Boise, Idaho, USA Apr 17, 2008 Bottle: Greenish gold hue with a light white head and nice lacing. Nose of clean fruity light hops, toasty clean pilsner malt and a touch of paper. The flavor is clean, lightly fruity with a mostly clean and toasty malty flavor. Clean snappy finish. Nice balance, perfect bitterness level for a lager, not into the pilsner area. Nice! jjpm74 (3447), Connecticut, USA Apr 20, 2008 Bottle courtesy of SuzyGreenberg. Pours gold with a sustained white head. smells of toasted malt, caramel, touches of dough, some citrussy hints. Tastes of dry malr, some residual sweetness is still there, touches of bitterness. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is semi sweet and crisp. Well done! Angeloregon (2023), Portland, Oregon, USA Apr 20, 2008 From a 22-ounce bottle--thanks to Dave at By The Bottle in Vancouver, Washington--Poured a light straw-copper body with a small white top. Creamy, nutty, earthy, sweet body with some sweet rice presence. Not a big fan of the style, but one of the best representations to date. after4ever (1925), Brier, Washington, USA Mar 9, 2008 22. So cool to see these guys in bottles! They’re really breaking out quickly. Nice. Pours an absolutely crystal clear medium amber with a thin white froth on top. Mild nose, slightly corny and buttery, a little biscuity and crackery under the stuff they didn’t mean to be there. Nice woolly mouthfeel, especially for a lager. All the corn, biscuit, cracker, and butter business comes back for the mid-palate, but the diacetyl and dms really aren’t so overwhelming. This is still very drinkable. Good going, guys. riversideAK (1757), Shoreline, Washington, USA Mar 13, 2008 A nicely crafted beer. Pours a darker shade of gold. Nice head and lacing. Not a lot of complexities, but well done. Sweet bready malt in the aroma. Initial bread-like sweetness in the flavor with a clean crisp finish. Did have a slightly chemically feel in the finish, but it didn’t detract from anything. Medium carbonated and went down smoothly. I liked this one really.
