Single batch beer. I came to the brewery and got the sampler. This was not on that. I was lucky enough to be able to talk to one of the brewer/owner’s and asked fror anything special they might have. He said we may still have some barleywine in a cask and was able to pump some through for me. The beer was clear ruby amber with a thin beige head. Aroma of cherries and roasted malt, some citrus and pine hops and very strong overall. Taste was also strong with lots of fruit and roasted malt, the finish was slightly bitter. Medium thick body, soft carbonation. Very well balanced, excellent stuff.

Super smooth on the palate. The hops definitle overpower the sweetness which gives it a medicinal flavoe that I don’t like very much. There is a noticeable woody taste which gives it a uniqueness. Ok. But don’t need another

On tap at Frisco Taphouse: Pours a clear deep amber with a thin-lacing light tan head. Has a sweet rich caramel and fresh grapefruity hoppy nose. Starts with good fullness and sweet toasty caramel maltiness with a touch of light fruity complexity and plenty of resiny bittering and citrusy flavor hops before a slightly warming bittersweet finish. An authentic and enjoyable American-style barleywine.

(Draught) Pours a clear golden brown body with a medium off-white head. Aroma of caramel, cinnamon, cherry, and bread. Flavor of caramel malt, raisins, bread, grass, subtle pine, and cherry with a moderately bitter finish.
