22oz bottle. Red orange pour with a thin layer of sticky white bubbles. Rich swirl of caramel malt and chewy hops. Nice full body with some earthy notes. Alcoholic finish that is a bit off putting and cloying. Overall good.

Scoring it low because it doesnít really taste at all like a DIPA. Definitely some funky sourness which isnít bad for a sour beer and in that case it would be quite good. Has some leathery flavors just like a good sour Belgian, but itís labeled as an Imperial IPA. Maybe thatís why the dog is laughing. I accuse this beer as being mislabeled.

22 oz for 5 bucks. Pours a nice-looking hazy orange color with a white head. Smells like hops, citrus and some slight pine tones. Nicely balanced flavor. Taste is similar to the smell but the bitterness is present as well. Not overwhelming though. Medium body and the carbonation is just right. Really a great double IPA.

Bottlepour golden yellow large white head. Nose dank hop, some toffee and grass. Taste grassy bite with some lemon citrus hop. Decent mid palate sweetness with slightly spicy bitter finish.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Funky caramel and perfume aroma, spicy and rubbery as if made with a wild yeast strain. Heavy looking orange, big foaming head. Very bittersweet flavor, comes off as sugary. Thick palate filler. Strange brew.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a mostly clear dark golden colour and a nice sticky small off white head that seems to retain well and leaves spotty lace up the glass. Aroma consists of citrus, fruity, perfume, sweet, caramel and bready malts. Taste is harsh upfront bitterness, moderate alcohol, resin, and light biscuits. Bitterness is a bit harsh even though it has such a high IBU level, could have been a bit more balanced.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours lightly hazed copper orange with an off white head that leaves lots of lace. Aroma of caramel, sweet pale malts, passionfruit, pine and light floral notes. Taste is caramel, sweet pale malts and harsh bitter piney hops. Bitterness is very astringent and really makes this dipa unpleasant.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours wonderfully auburn, minimal head. Aroma of caramel, brown sugar, mildly fruity, citrus. Flavour is an odd mix, starts as IPA, ends a bit like a red ale, retains its hippiness throughout. Interesting, not my favourite.

22oz bottle, from my local Whole Foods. Shared with friends over a game of Catan. Mostly clear amber color. Thin off-white head. Couple loose dots of lace. Bigger body. Smooth, lightly soft, kind of lighter carbonation. Spicy hop, some light citrus zest, balanced well with biscuity malt, some light caramel. Moderate bitter taste, light sweet. Light hint of alcohol warmth in the finish. Solid DIPA.
