Alpha Dog — Ahead Of The Pack
A True Hop Bomb Brewed plenty of Columbus and Mt Hood Hops for a Piney hop character. Premium Pale, Honey and Munich Malt make this beer a little less malty but packing plenty of hop punch.

Pours a cloudy yellow orange color with a white head. Aroma was of citrus earthiness. This was a very flavor IIPA with a lot of grapefruit and a pretty big bitterness. Pretty easy to drink too. Not too sweet.

Pours a hazy orange with thick off-white head, lacing evident. Aroma obvious of citrus hops, pine, caramel, and grass. Flavor agrees with a slight herbal character to it. Pretty decent DIPA, wouldn’t definitely have again.

22 ounce bottle. Pours pale golden with a stiff white head. Nose is rich with pulpy citrus and pine. There’s just a bit of caramel malts. The hop flavor is more earthy and dirty with not a lot of malt character at all. Medium body and average carbonation. Wow. There’s quite a grapefruit finish.

Seriously bitter bite on the back end. Color was a murky orange with a bit of a white head. Aroma was all piny and good. The flavor was big and sweet, full caramel malt body. Then you get to the finish with all that grapefruit. Pretty enjoyable double here and I will probably hold on to this other one I have and try it next to a Devil Dog and see how that goes.

Bomber from the Boise Co-op. Pours a clear golden hue with a large sticky white head. The aroma is very hoppy; sweet citrus and pine, light caramel. The flavor is similar; lots of upfront bitterness, grapefruits, alcohol, light malts. Lots of very bitter grapefruit. Nice.

Bomber from Enniskillen! Thanks Chris!Nose of pine and flowery hops with a little sweetness in the background. Hazy yellow amber with a big, nicely lacing offwhite head. Flavor is bitter, with some light caramelly malt showing through the moderate bitterness.

(Bottle, Akkurat, Stockholm) Golden amber colour with lasting, frothy, off-white head, leaving traces of lacing. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of grapefruit, pine needles and resin. Fruity, hoppy taste with pine needles, resin, pink grapefruit and a hoppy finish with a generous bitterness. More than medium body, fairly sweet. Very hoppy and very nice beer.

22oz bottle from Liquid Solutions. Brew pours a hazy golden orange color with a fluffy off white head that left decent lacing. Moderately hoppy nose with resin, spruce and some citrus, A big malt presence as well. Flavor was quite bitter with sweet malts to balance things out. Sticky finish with assertive bitterness, pretty damn good.

20090505 Bomber from Jonathan Ron in Brielle. Cloudy dark golden with tall, lasting, creamy white head that sheets. Great looking beer. Sweet, floral, and citrus hoppy with doughy malts that remind me of pasta(?). Weird reminders of fresh peas and canned fruit salad. Interesting and fruity up front, but over the middle of the body it’s all grapefruit pith and it never wanes. Astringency at the finish is a bit much, dirty, yeasty, fruit skins, tobacco. It has an overall numbing effect that detriments even from tasting subsequent sips.

BOMBER served very cold. Pours a golden orange body with a thick creamy wit head. Great aroma. Spicy sharp hop resins lighter citrus and pine needles. A hint of honey and some grapefruit. Bitter grapefruit and an almost acidic bite to it. Overwhelming hop characteristics mast any malt to this one whatsoever, good call if you ask me. I hope i can taste the rest of the beers i’m trying tonight. Good stuff. 3.9 Actually as this warms it gets more soapy so ill have to knock a few off. 3.7
