Hops come through as piney and floral. There is a bit of citrus in the finish, and the mouthfeel is rich and a bit oily. Pretty good beer. ksurkin (416), Norfolk, Virginia, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 5, 2009 bomber from grape & gourmet. pours a very nice, light straw amber with a thin, white head and slight lacing. aroma is excellent with big, fresh, resinous and slightly floral hops, pine needles, slightly sweet citrus notes of orange and pink grapefruit, with a touch of toasted toffee malt. flavor is very good as well with big, bitter resinous hops up front matched by notes of sweet tangerine, melon, and pine oil with a nice balance of caramel malts and boozy warmth. palate is slightly syrupy with great carbonation and a long, bitter, piney hop finish. overall, a very good, underrated DIPA Immy (1912), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA

Taste was refreshingly bitter with fruity and citrusy flavor. Strong hop flavor and was quite fresh tasting. Good body and carbonation. Much better than average DIPA.
