3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 thefederalist (253) - Jonesboro, Arkansas, USA - APR 9, 2012
Bottle. Pours a golden clear color with quickly dissipating head and lacing. Aroma is VERY mild for a IIPA -- a little grass and that’s all. Flavor is smooth and bitter, but again there is not very much hoppiness in the finish. The beer is very dry and there is very little off-flavor, which I appreciate, but I could use a tiny bit more sweetness to balance the beer. I am also missing wallop or two of aroma hops.

The beer pours a yellow-orange color with a large white head. The aroma has a lot of orange citrus and pine notes, as well as a little bit of biscuit malt. The flavor is similar. I get a lot of orange and bitter resin notes from the hops, as well as a good bit of alcohol. The level of bitterness is about medium. I get a medium mouthfeel and the carbonation level is medium as well.

One of the best imperial IPA examples on the market. Great smooth mouth feel. Excellent golden color, small white head. Smell is heavy grapefruit, palate is super dry. Love this one!

Reddish blonde with a nice head. Great lacing. Aroma is sweet citrus. Palate is a little thin. Taste is grainy but with a decent hop punch at the end. Very bitter finish. Might be one of the more bitter beers I’ve had. After taste isn’t super pleasant because of the bitterness.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 llcooldave (754) - San Antonio, Texas, USA - MAR 2, 2012
Pours a nice looking crystal clear honey color with a thin soapy head. Fruity nose of banana, citrus, and some apple/pear. Sweet fruity malt flavor upfront followed by banana and a touch of spice. Interesting bitter citrus aftertaste that finishes dry on the palate. Overall, very nice... glad this is going to be a regular offering here in TX.

Bärnstensfärgad öl med medelstort vitt skum. Dofter av olika typer av humle. Tallbarr, citrus och tropiska frukter. Även viss sötma. Även bra balans mellan beska och fruktighet i smaken.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Sammer (756) - Plano, Texas, USA - FEB 12, 2012
Taste is hoppy, acidic and bold. Bitterness abounds, but well balanced. Solid IPA.
