22oz bomber pours with a nice deep dark body that supports a near creamy mocha colored head. The aroma offers up dark roasted coffee, some molasses, a few crumbs of chocolate chip cookie and a dash of black licorice. The taste delivers similar notes like dark roasted coffee sweetened by malts and molasses. It then heads into mild earthy to spicy black licorice sort of maltiness into the finish. Tasty brew.

Bomber thanks to Andrew. Deep brown with a tan head. Minimal aroma. Thin and oddly boozy.

Sample at B&D Gastropub. Pours black with small beige head. Aroma is vanilla and some roast, medium body, low carbonation, and medium small bubble lacing. Taste is roast, vanilla, some coffee, and dry finish. Alcohol was well covered.

Bottle, 22oz. It pours a black body under a dense, light tan head of moderate size. The aroma has loads of coffee, some vanilla hints, roasted malts and a pleasant touch of dark chocolate. Pretty nice, but not fantastic, and that goes for the flavor too. It feels both dry and sweet at the same time, which is a bit disturbing. All the good found on the nose is present, so is a little hoppy bitterness. It’s full bodied and lightly warming, very soft on the palate, almost velvety. Lasting finish, lacking a bit on the coffee. Sure a nice one, but a bit easy on the coffee I think. 140511

On draft at Churchkey in D.C. The beer is near black with a small beige collar. The aroma offers a robust coffee nose with dark chocolates. Decent flavor, with bitter chocolates, finishing dry. Medium in body with light carbonation. Overall, this is decent, but not a repeat for me.

Clean dark malt and slight cream aroma. Beautiful black color with a thin creamy tan head. Pretty good but pretty general coffee porter. Coffee.cream.dark malts and whatnot.

Dark brown almost black pour with a light tan head. Aromas of coffee with notes of cocoa and toffee. Flavor is big roasted coffee at first with plenty of malts to back it up. Slight sharpness on the front of the palate that I can’t quite put my finger on. Overall, pretty good brew and nice coffee character to it. Bottle courtesy of DandyWolfFloyd, thanks man!

A goos brew when I consider the whole experience. On tap a pint of this is a monster. The pour is completely opaque and dark black with a finger of sticky tan head. The nose is reserved but poignant with big notes of cocoa amd espresso with big robust roasted malt aromas. Overly sweet in the middle with a ton of heavy roasted notes along with bitter dark espresso. The finish has a moderate bitterness but alot of residual sweetness. Overall this beer has a solid profile of coffee and roasted malts but is overly sweet

Pours a deep dark brown, nearly black color with light brown head. Deep sweet malty aroma, caramel toffee notes, light roast and coffee character. Sweet, roasty, astringent, hot, finishes sweet with light notes of caramel.
