A complex Imperial Coffee Porter made with Evans Brothers cold-pressed coffee. Subtle chocolate, and coffee notes are balanced by black malt bitterness and malt sweetness.

Bottle courtesy of Brendan whilst playing a few rounds of Settlers of Catan. Pours a deep brown with thin white lacing. Aroma is tart fruit, sweet chocolate and light roast. Mouthfeel is medium and very nice; notes of cocoa, spice, tart fruit and toasted chocolate malts.

From 22oz bottle to snifter. Pour us a oil like black with a thick and frothy beige head. Nose is huge roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, alcohol. Taste is sour with sweetness at times, heavy bodied with a very thick mouth feel. Very smooth finish, liked this one.

Settling in to fall with this delicious Imperial Coffee Porter. The aroma has a subtle note of chocolate and a strong note of coffee. The reverse is true for the taste. It is strong on the chocolate and light on the coffee taste. Itís a heavier beer that goes down smooth even though it is 9.2% alcohol by volume. It is a classy beer and my scale is based on Matthew Mcconaughey scale. I give it 7 "All right, all right, all rights!" out of 10.

12 oz pour from chilled bomber into tulip glass. Black as night, totally opaque, slight evident carbonation, slight brown head. Nose is coffee, a bit sour, a bit sweet, and malty. Body is full and sharp. Taste is sour coffee, reminiscent of cold brew. Roasty with some burnt notes as well. A hint of dark chocolate back there too. Not a bad coffee porter.

The aroma is definitely more enticing than the taste. Kind of a bitter aftertaste on the palate. Got the beer at Grocery Outlet and it said it was brewed in October 2013. Nice buzz with a 9.2 Alc.

Had a long time ago and updating the app. But I wrote the coffee was strong and good but it was a bit too bitter at the end for a higher rating. Had in bottle.

Bitter chocolate, coffee, abundant roast, malts, hops, slight fruit notes. Smell is more enticing than the taste. Good balance. Canít emphasize the roast enough.

Nice little showing from a brewery I donít get around to often enough. Quite solid coffee porter, Imperial style, with a nice little hop bite to boot. Respectable showing. Serving size: 22oz bombs Away.
