2.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 drpimento (1760) - La Crosse, USA - OCT 26, 2011
Think I got one that’s just starting to turn. I let it warm a bit out of the fridge. Poured with a small to medium sized head that soon settled down to a light cover with a few thicker islands, a ring, and a bit of lace. Color is a clear red orange amber with scattered tiny bubble trails. Aroma is yeast, fruit, malt. Flavor is like nose, but a sour edge that doesn’t seem to belong. Body is ok and carbonation is on the flat side, but with this being a Brit style ESB, I’m giving benefit of doubt. Finish is like flavor, but sour stands out. Don’t think I’ll finish this.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Blairgus (1209) - California, USA - JUN 1, 2012
1 June 2012, bottle. Light amber, clear, no bubbles. Malty with some oats and faint grassy hops. Med/thin and slightly fizzy. Malty, faint tartness, some grassy notes. Meh. Just like the way a dog says hello: slightly unpleasant but I'll deal with it.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 ttoadee (165) - Austin, Texas, USA - MAY 5, 2012
Warm copper, with a slightly off white head. Sweet malt and spicy hops in the nose. Nutty malt in the middle followed by more spicy hop flavor. Finish shows some alcohol. Decent beer.

Brownish amber with a one-finger tan head that left ok lace. Aromas of toasted malt, over-ripe dark fruit, toffee and gentle spiciness. Flavors are similar, and include a gentle grassy/piney hops bitterness to fill out the malt sweetness. Light to medium body, strong carbonation, and a dry bready finish.

Clear, dark amber with an off-white head that leaves a bit of lacing. Aroma of toffee, dough, and a hint of citrus. The taste is crisp malts with a slight, but nice, bitterness. Medium bodied and crisp, finishing a little bitter, with a moderate carbonation. Good ESB.
3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 pari6819 (54) - Florida, USA - MAR 12, 2012
A surprisingly enjoyable beer. I really hadn’t expected much from this, however it was a good ESB. Lightly toasted malts with a bread-like mouthfeel, a bit of citrus in the finish that added some balance.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 mar (3725) - Dallas, Texas, USA - MAR 10, 2012
nice copper pour with a thin cream head. nose is doughy malts, with a citrus kick. easy on the palate, a little thin for an esb, light roasted malt flavor, caramel, and a bitter/citrusy finish.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 BrooHa (108) - New York, USA - MAR 6, 2012
Pours a clear copper, almost ruby. Off-white head dissipates too quickly. Malty, flinty smell. MILDLY vanilla or cookie-dough kinda smell. Fig Newtony, maybe? Medium mouth that feels a little chewy. Definitely malt forward, biscuity with slight hops and bitterness in the finish. Pretty good. May reach for this one again.

Amber color. Aroma of caramel malt. Great body which was full and satisfying. Taste is malty and caramel. Not too bitter. Kind of a funky sewer after taste though. Slight rotten egg in there.
