2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma is sweet licorice and mint with a hint of peppery spice...yeasty too...I'm scared I may smell a bit of dog poop too. Of course I still tasted this stinky amber cloud of a beer despite its confusing olfactory introduction. And...tangy spice with yeast and peppers. A bit of sweetness. Strange.

2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Shared 22 oz. bottle. As Laughing Dog CSB. Hah. Thought the CSB would stand for something similar to ESB. Not quite! Pour is hazy amber, with a thick beige head. Aroma is malty and bready. Taste is malty, bready, cloying, and sour. This is strange for an ESB, or perhaps for any beer. Not good. Didnít finish it.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Aroma: sweetly malty with a slightly rotten note; Appearance: hazy amber with billowy white head that dissipates pretty quickly; Taste: unfortunately, it follows nose; Palate: medium body with long, sickly sweet finish; Overall: drain pour.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Big 1.5" chunky slightly tan head... looong lasting with very nice sticky lacing. Brown side of amber brew... clear... pretty.
Aroma is fantastic.. toasty toffee malts and earthy hops.. fairly clean with only a touch of yeast esters.
Flavor is bigboned for the style... full maltiness and bracing bitterness... fairly big spicy and grassy hops.... I would guess English style malts are used, but could easily be wrong. Lite very lite brown malt presence.. intricate... above average complexity.. Body is lite medium.. but somehow it and the carbonation pulls everything together very well with a lingering full tongue finish.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Hazy deep amber colour. Aroma bubblegum, sourish, caramel, fruity. Taste is moderately sour, working with earthy English hops in an interesting way that one can think about. Overall soured, but worth a try.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
What a uniquely strange beer. The smell nput me on my ass. It is malt, wheat, grass, star fruit, alcohol and molasses. Taste is even stranger. Strawberries, peaches, grapefruit, yeast, grass. This really a unique brew.

This one is well named because it tastes like crotch. Would make a pretty nice sour ale had they added a bit of lemon flavor. As is, itís kind of like sweat mixed with seltzer.

Reviewed from notes verbatim on 9/23/10
A: Low head, but persistent bubbles creates a small foam cup. Brilliant clarity. Copper color.
S: Sweet, hints of caramel, floral: tulip. Good ESB smell.
T: The beer is an ESB for sure and has a sweet tone to it. I really like this ESB.
M: Well balanced medium body with moderate carb.
D: I really enjoy the sessionability of this beer. Laughing Dog usually spends their time making high intensity beers. This one is subtle and nice. Strong work.
