Cloudy orange cream color. Frothy, medium white head, mostly lasting, lots of lace. Aroma is rich, sweet, citrus, orange, peach, grapefruit, caramel, floral, maybe a little vanilla(?). Flavor is much the same. Big, full body, smoooth hoppiness, creamy, mild lingering bitterness, a little dry. Very good.

Aroma not very pleasing, slight dirty sock smell Taste malty with a herb hint to it. Much better tasting then smelling. Nice clear color. Would drink another, just avoid smelling. Guess I am used to the flowery odors.

Bomber purs aclear orange/amber color with decent off-white head and good lacing. Aroma is mostly caramel malts, but there;s a touch of the requisite citrus and floral hops here, too. Body is medijm with average carbonation. Tastes sweet at first with some bitterness in the short finish.. Body is medium to full. Alcohol is discernable, but there’snothing foul in this. I’m glad to have tried this one, an average or better IIPA.

Pours a deep and dark amber/brown color with a thick off white head. Aroma is of hops, malts, bread, some caramel, and some earthiness. Flavor is quite a bit more malty than I was expecting. There’s definitely a hop presence and some booziness that comes right up front but it then smooths out and finishes with a subtle sweetness. Glad to have had this one.

Bomber. Caramel notes in in the nose are hindered by old, wet leaves. Mostly clear light amber with a thin, off-white head. Nice lace. Flavor is much better than the aroma. A very unique double IPA. Softly carbonated with caramel notes. Hops are hidden behind the alcohol. Warming, moderately sweet. Some pepper in the finish. A good brew, and one of the few I’ve had from the state of Idaho.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 daleharshman (792) - San Diego, California, USA - FEB 4, 2013
Bomber purchased at Holiday Wine Cellar ($6.29). Pours a clear orange-amber color with two fingers of long-lasting creamy white head which leaves some really good lacing. Aroma of sweet spiced caramel, spruce/pine forest, grapefruit zest, and some floral hops. Flavor of soapy caramel, grapefruit, pine needles, some sticky fruit, bready malts, and vegetal hops. Finishes somewhat bitter, somewhat sweet. Doesn’t conceal the big 10.85% quite as well as it should, but it’s not too boozy. Quite malty…seems to lean more toward a hoppy barleywine than a DIPA. 3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 jhgrantjr (301) - Tennessee, USA - JAN 7, 2013
Poured a golden color with a big creamy looking head. Lots of lacing. Immediate aroma of hops, but its a malty hop smell, makes it sweet. Taste is slightly bitter, but malty with some caramel. Don’t think this leans towards the floral side. Much more pine and malt. Medium bodied to full, with a thick and sticky taste. This is especially true as it warms. The malty character comes out and it becomes thicker.

8th June 2011 Very hazy amber beer, big frothy pale tan head. Semi soft palate, smooth. Creamy smooth malt. Bitterish water chesnuts that remind me of Deus. Seamlessly blended orange and pine hop. A little aniseed in the smooth finish. Nicely joined up and unusual DIPA. Where does the water chesnut flavour come from? Bitterish aftertaste.

Clear amber with a billowing head. Reasonably good aroma but vegetal/grassy notes predominate before the bitterness starts to build through the finish. Fine but below average in the Imperial IPA world, which has some really outstanding beers. Bottle.
