miketd (330), Cleveland, Ohio, USA Apr 26, 2008 Thanks to old mr crow and goldtwins for bottles. Pours a dark, copper with a decent white head. Sweet, cittrusy and malty aroma. Flavor is quite sweet with some malt backing. Medium bodied. Not bad, but a little boring.
buzzoven (67), Japan Jul 4, 2008 Super sweet caramel smell from the off white head and hazy cloudy orange pour. Mouthfeel is huge...a big round malty sweet thick syrupy glob of hops, sugarcane, biscuis soaked in gin, rye, pumpernickel....not an aggressive IPA--but certainly intense. Big on flavour, kind of light on the finish--but well made and would certainly drink again. Ty5592 (1000), Hatfield, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 28, 2008 22oz bottle. Pours a deep, dark rudy/amber color. Aroam was mainly sweet malt and citrus hops. Really thick for a IIPA. The flavor was sweet and earthy with thicky maly presence. bhensonb (2687), Woodland, California, USA Jun 16, 2008 Bomber. Nice hoppy aroma over roasted caramel tones. Hazy copper amber color with a smear of bubbles for head. Full bodied with light fizzy, creamy carbonation. Rather malty sweet with a lot of hop. It’s primarily fruity hop rather than resin. Grapefruit. Finish is sweet sticky thinning away to leave a little roasted note with a deal of hop bitter. It’s really full and hoppy. gunhaver (519), Tampa, Florida, USA Jun 2, 2008 Updated: Jun 5, 2008Bottle, courtesy ditmier. Pours a clear murky copper, has a fluffy white creamy head and thick lacing. Big, creamy vanilla malts in the nose, followed by bitter hops, ending with cinnamon and spice. Flavor as a fairly prominent hoppy burn off the bat. Creamy malts, raspberry, brown sugar. Very unique. Sticky mouthfeel, not as tasty as aroma suggested. Enjoyed it for its uniqueness though. blutt59 (478), Dallas, Texas, USA May 29, 2008 bottle, pours a tangerine color with sour grapefruit notes, head is very wispy and short lived, flavors of sweet malt and animal crackers are excellent to go with the pineapple finish, great flavors for my preference
