Bottle courtesy of Ibrew2or3. Pours a hazy amber color with white head. Aroma is sweet and floral with notes of grapefruit, pine, caramel, floral esters. nearbeer (2659) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - JUN 2, 2012
22 oz. Clear copper with a quarter inch of sticky, creamy foam that endures. Aroma is juicy pineapple, mango, and orange; plus some spicy molasses, wood, and resin. Tastes the same with a healthy dose of bittering from the resin, wood and spicy floral hops. Medium-heavy body is fairly smoothly carbonated, with a good tingle from the hops. Maybe a little sticky, but not overly so. A touch of alcohol warmth without the boozy taste. Nice.

MadRobin (177) - Silver Spring, USA - MAY 18, 2012
Poured from 22 ounce bottle. Clear (although not perfectly clear), sparkling bright amber with one finger cream colored head and excellent lacing. Aroma of sweet malts, biscuits and citrusy and piney hops. Taste of bitter grapefruit, honey, sweet malts and pine. Full body and high carbonation. It had a nice mouthfeel although it was a bit on the sticky side. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Suttree (3928) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - MAY 11, 2012
Clear brownish copper, big frothy white head. Smells sweet, with caramel and brown sugar, plus some grapefruit. Flavor is almost cloying sweet, again with brown sugar and caramel, plus a harsh, rough bitterness. Not much finesse on display here.

bookman10 (341) - Osseo, Minnesota, USA - APR 28, 2012
Pours a copper-orange color with mid-sized head. Floral, hoppy aroma. Flavor is a bit on the sweet side, almost more like a barley wine than IPA. Some citrus, some hoppy bitterness. Good, but not great beer.

RedSox2004 (804) - Pacific Palisades, California, USA - APR 13, 2012
Cloudy dark orange/amber, almost brown, with a one-finger cream-colored head and very nice lace. Strong dominant grapefruit aromas with a solid caramel malt adding some strength to the nose. Strong hops bitterness dominates the flavor profile, but it’s clean and crisp, and the sweetness from the cramel malts keeps this from being an over-the-top hop bomb. Medium body, lively carbonation, sticky on the palate, and a short finish.

ben4321 (2227) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - APR 13, 2012
Location: 22 oz bottle from State Line, 4/13/12

Aroma: The nose has some grass, booze, caramel malts, grapefruit, and some sugar
Appearance: It pours an unclear orange-red color with a white head and medium lace
Flavor: The flavor is mid-plus sweet, with a heavy malt-booze flavor, and later hop bitterness
Palate: The body is medium-heavy, with a rather sticky feel, with some alcohol heat, and a dry finish
Overall Impression: This was a pretty decent beer. The heavy booze, stickiness, and big malty presence actually made it feel a little more like an American style Barley Wine more so then a IIPA, but regardless of where you classify it, this is a solid, interesting beer.

esox (742) - Oulu, FINLAND - MAR 26, 2012
Draught @ Akkurat, Stockholm. Hazy orange DIPA with gorgeous, pillowy and lacy head. Very intense, sweet/nectary fruity hoppiness has orange marmelade, sugary strawberries, and some lemon. Starts sweet with and creamy crocant flavor, bitterness hits in the finish but is not very biting. Really enjoyable creamy/toffy finish with herbal hop notes. Almost full bodied and very smooth texture. Usually I prefer drier DIPAS with heavy and biting bitterness, but I really enjoyed the creaminess this delicacy has.

Thisis12ptfont (181) - Los Angeles, CA, California, USA - FEB 24, 2012
Big floral hops on the nose with some noticable citrus and vanilla. Pale golden in color with a thin foam at the top of the glass. Strong hop flavor upfront with a caramel malt finish. Other flavors of vanilla, grapefruit and spice. Huge alcohol presence. Overall, a solid Imperial IPA with a strong hop flavor and an intense alcohol warming. I’d give this an A rating
