3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Look : Pale blonde color with 30% opacity, towering white loosely knit head @ 3 fingers; no lace left behind on clean pint glass.
Aroma : Lots of berry aroma, very sweet, light graham and malt background. Medium strength.
Taste : Fairly beery with malts and hop presence, light sweet/bitter berry mixture on the back palate. A finish of blueberry skin and malts. There is a lot of berry presence here and itís wonderful.
Feel : Uneventful and unremarkable for the most part, but it has a light creaminess that is pleasant, and a mild carbonation propping up the body. The finish is clean.
Overall : Itís a nice beer, I wish I would have had it this summer, it would have been very refreshing. As a winter time beer itís meh, so it depends on what season you drink it in, and what climate. Itís a nicely flavored beer though, with lots of berry and malt.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nice 2 finger head drops leaving good lacing.. atop a clear pretty orange/lite amber brew.
Aroma is like huckleberry candy without the sweetness... the berries hint at an underlying sweetness, but itís more like a berry essence... smells very nice.
Flavor is a basic beer with a bunch more huckleberry finish that lingers to a very slightly sour berry end. Middle of the road bready malts forces the berry flavor front and center... Not getting alot of hops... but a little citrus is evident. Light body that tastes thicker than it is... good carbonation helps keep the flavors moving across the palate.
This beer is great fresh... and still very good with a few months on it.

Bottle to glass. Clear orange yellow. Short-lived bubbly head. Aroma is indeed huckleberry, yeast, sweet. Flavor berry skins, very slight yeast, bitterness is a bit metallic, not overly sweet but fruity enough to be soda-like. Moderately carbonated. Fairly refreshing. Not bad.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Started fruity, faded to a more mundane ale on the finish. Better than most non-fruited cream ales, but came up shy vs. most fruit brews.

Can picked up in Pocatello. Pours a clear gold color with a nice, foamy white head. The aroma is mostly sweet huckleberries (I assume since Iím no berry expert) and not much else. The flavor is mostly sweet fruit but it finishes with a slight bit of malt and hint of bitterness. Okay

Can. It poured a straw golden color with a white head. The aroma was of huckleberry, quite different, with hints of pale malt and yeast. The Taste was similar to the aroma with more malt and yeast and a crisp finish. Interesting. Thanks Hayduke!

6 oz pour from refrigerated bottle into nonic pint. Orange and a bit hazy with a weak white head. Nose is sweet huckleberry. Very sweet. Like huckleberry syrup. Light bodied. Taste is a little cream and a hint of huckleberry. Not as much as the nose would suggest, though. Otherwise light and drinkable. The aroma is much too sweet for me though.

01.23.15 store label. Poured from a 12 oz can into a mason jar style glass on 02.03.15.
A: Strong huckleberries that could be smelled while pouring an armís length away.
A: 2 finger head. It stays at a constant 1 finger after receding. Hazy yellow orange body.
T: Huckleberries dominate. Grain and sweet malt (caramel?) are subtle.
P: Smooth and creamy. Bubbles are on the back. Very refreshing.
O: It is simple like a cream ale usually is, but itís good. Itís sweet like a dessert.

From the 12-oz. can (with a pasted-on label), Laughing Dog Huckleberry Cream Ale has a thin, white, quickly-dying head, an opaque, sediment-filled, orange-gold appearance, some stray bubbles, and no lacing left behind. The aroma is of odd wax paper, fruit acid, sweetness, huckleberries, berry skin, and white bread. Taste is of acidic berry juice, white bread, and background bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium and somewhat chewy, and this beer finishes wet, fruity, and somewhat repelling. RJT

12 oz can poured. Pours orange witha big foamy white head. Sweet fresh strawberries on the aroma. I imagine itís a lot of huckleberry as well, but like almost everyone, Iím more familiar with strawberries, and thatís what i notice. Flavor is strawberry as well, though light. Nice berry flavor with a slightly dry finish. This beer is exactly what I expected it to be. Light, easy drinking beer with a mild fruit flavor. Not bad.
