The huckleberry is native to the Pacific Northwest and is prized for it’s sweetness and texture. Sample pulled from the tank. Not being bottled for another week. Pale yellow. Real huckleberries infused into their cream ale, rather than syrup. Fruity nose like Imperial Fruit Loops, can smell the the sugars from the fruit. Fruit is very quiet in the taste. Some woody bitterness is the strongest element from the fruit.

Golden, clear. Aroma: light crystal malt sweetness, definite but subtle huckleberries. Flavor: clean pale malt flavor with touch if sweetness, subtle huckleberry finish. Easy drinking and well made. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a clear pale yellow color with a fluffy white head. Aroma of berries and malt. Flavor fruity and malty with a bit of tartness at the finish. Not bad.

UPDATED: MAY 23, 2012 Location: Draft at Flying Saucer - Little Rock, 5/23/12

Aroma: It has a super sweet berry nose, with some yeast, and other berry notes
Appearance: This beer pours a clear gold color with a small white head
Flavor: Taste-wise it is rather sweet with slight hints of bitterness and sourness
Palate: This beer has a rather light body and it had a decently drinkability to it as well
Overall Impression: Overall, this beer was too sweet, but decent enough. I mildly enjoyed drinking it, but I had a decent number of issues with it as well.

Served on draft at Whole Foods Glen Allen, VA. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a large creamy off-white head. Good head retention. Aroma of berries, grain and pale malts. The taste is strong berries, grainy malts and a bit of honey. Medium bodied, pretty drinkable.

Malty aroma has a strong, sweet overtone of - must be huckleberry. It pours a rather typical clear yellow with a fluffy white head, not inspiring, but one shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. Better a good-tasting beer that doesn’t look so hot, than a great-looking beer that disappoints the taste buds. Flavor is malty and fruity, again with a sweet and slightly tangy huckleberry flavor dominating. The tartness nicely balances the sweetness. I get a hint of hops as well. Texture has average body and plenty of fizz. A distinctive beer, worth trying if you like something different and especially if you like fruit beers.

It has a mixed berry, honey, caramel and chocolatey malty taste. it kind of tasted like a mixed berry pie with whipped cream... normally I would like something like this but this beer was absolutely disgusting. This is not a fruit beer its just silly.

12oz bottle poured into glass. Tons of fruit in the aroma and flavor. Mostly huckleberry I assume, but it taste more like blueberry to be honest. Perhaps a little too sweet so I’d save it for dessert.

A draft pour served in mug, at Ernie’s Steakhouse at the Meadow Creek Golf Resort in Meadow Creek, Idaho. The color was a hazy dark gold with an off-white head and light lacing. Nose is berries, Medium body and lively mouthfeel. Flavor is huckleberry and the finish is bitter. Refreshing and easy to drink.

I liked the Cream Ale and I loved this. The Sour berries are evident in the atoma but just a touch. Same for the flavor. Just a hint of the sour berries to give it a nice tang. Very crisp and light. A real winner for the hot days.
