review from mid late early summer fall winter of 2011. stupid notes on iphone. lovely review i got here: hazy orangy amber brew wit ha nice compact off white cap that left average lacing, aroma says: pine, rrgf, caramel, light roast? and spice (pepper maybe). Tasted flavours on the mouth organ: toasted malts with lesser caramel, pine knives, nectarines I think, sweetness that has no discerning fruit that stands out. Good bubbles, hella bite, long bitter ending. Fresh would have been nice. I added in the punctuation to make this review as exciting for you as it was for me.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
355ml bottle pours a golden orangey color with a finger of white head which leaves some spotted lacing on the glass. Pleasing aroma of pine and citrusy hops and a trace of toasted malts. Taste is dominated by the bitterness of the hops and has some balance with a malty sweet backbone. Medium body and medium carbonation provide a nice tingle on the tongue. This is a hoppy but still pleasing and very drinkable IPA.

Thank you Adrian for the brew!!!! Peachy pine big hop aroma, caramel, orange, more stuff. Nice and malty good balance with the hop. I donít know why but Iím finding the carbonation perfect here, what an odd thing to like. I love the malts they be roasted to perfection, sweet, smooth but then the hops kick in and they be bitter, perfect balance. Pine, orange, wood, Iím picking up this weird chocolate. Wow i can drink this all night. The lingering bitter is killing me!!! WOW!!! What a good IPA! This has regular in the fridge written all over it.

Forgotten rating from June 2011.
The pour is a bright copper-orange with a finger of beige head and good lacing. The nose is hop forward with prominent notes of grapfruit and light herbal pine. The malts are of sweet caramel and light bread. In the middle there is a good maltiness with a sweet grapefruit tang. The finish has a big hop that drys the palate out for a while. A great hop bomb session brew.

Thanks to boney for this one. Pours a cloudy light golden with a big frothy white top. Aroma is soapy, floral, earthy hops with light malt. Taste is a blast of floral hops and a good bitterness bite. A different IPA taste than the normal west coast bitterness. I found this more soapy in the taste.

Hazy straw yellow color with a white soapy head. Pine aroma with hops, and a touch of toasted malt. Grapefruit and pine with a touch of toasted malts comprise the flavor with fierce bitter ending. Medium body with a dry finish. A very nice IPA.

The beer pours a hazy golden color with a big fluffy white head and good lace.
The beers aroma is very piney but has some grassy hops as well and a little bit of toast.
The flavor is hoppy, and as such the hop flavors that are dominant are citrus and melon. The beer is only really moderately bitter with some piney hop notes as the glass progresses. The beer is not notably dry but it displays almost no overwhelming sweetness at all. This is not to say that there isnít malt flavor here, in fact there is a mild toasty malt character that works with the sort of hop cocktail theyíve brewed up here very well.
I reckon this beer drink pretty good, pretty damn good.
Sometimes itís fun to see specialty malts in an IPA other than crystal variations.
