3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 5000 (4113) - Hardened Liver, USA - JUN 20, 2006
Bottle: Amber, burnt orange tinge, huge rocky off-white head, sticky lacing, little carbonation. Floral nose, slightly sticky, a bit of caramel accentuated hops. Light on flavor, slightly biting up front, but dies quickly. Somewhat sweet, but thin. Slight hop bitterness resonates through to the end, but its very soft. Decent pale, but a bit on the lighter side in regards to body. Fairly clean tho.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 patricks110 (916) - Alberta, CANADA - JUL 5, 2011
Pour - bright browny orange body, a bit of carbonation. Two fingers of nice yellowish beige head.
Aroma - fruity and spiced hop, lemon, nice biscuity and caramel malt. Quite a bit of malt in this one for a pale ale with light hops and moderate lemon nose.
Taste - middle is malty with notes of bread, biscuit and caramel as well as a tangy lemon hop on the finish. Notes of light pine, grass, grapefruit. A refreshing hop finish with little aftertaste.
Palate - mild carbonation, refreshing taste, medium body
Overall - a bit too malty for a pale ale, but very nice and refreshing pale.

bottle. Copper-kissed gold with a thick light golden head that shows beautiful retention and lace. Aroma is hoppy with a sweet caramel background. Peach, melon, and pine hop flavours burst on the palate, followed by a creamy caramel malt base. Moderately bitter finish. This may be too malty for some hopheads, but I really loved the flavours here. A real standout APA in its balance.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 pintbypint (1611) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 31, 2011
12oz brown bottle. Dark gold-orange pour with slight haze. Full off white head with good retention and some nice lacing left behind. Caramel nose, some lemony notes. Flavour starts out with more caramel, slight fruity middle with some citrus hop flavour. Finishes slightly bitter with some grapefruit notes and some pine. Light body, smooth in the mouth, light, soft carbonation. Easy to drink. Nice quaffer.
3.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 twoskylights (11) - Boise, Idaho, USA - MAR 25, 2011
I may have had a bad batch, but to my nose, the aroma is horridly sweet and marshmellowy. I do like the crisp hoppy finish that lingers long, but the taste is somewhat disappointing. The taste is overcome by the nose for me and there is far too much fizz on the mouth. Not a total waste of money, but I don’t think I’ll be buying this one again. Sad, too, because it’s from my beloved home state of Idaho.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 bhensonb (7592) - Woodland, California, USA - JUL 4, 2010
Bottle but where from I forget. Pours pale amber with a large frothy off-white head. Aroma of mild caramel and floral and citric hops. Medium body with strong/sharp carbonation. Flavor is harsh roast malt with floral and citrus hop. APA it is. Finishes quite pleasant.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 curly (2365) - Seattle (Newcastle), Washington, USA - MAY 17, 2010
Sample at the brewery. Clear gold, foamy white head. Aroma of mild citrus and grass. Taste is also mild with more sweet malt it seems than bittering hops. Mostly light citrus and floral with a mild pine finish. Medium body and smooth carbonation.

Pours a nice orangish color. Aroma is floral hops, some caramel, and a hint of vegtables. Flavor of a classic pale, nice hop flavor.
1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20 Beerlando (3324) - Orlando, Florida, USA - MAR 9, 2010
12oz. bottle. The pour yields a slightly hazy, medium golden-amber body with a tall, pillowy head of thick, beige tinted foam. Lasting for ages, the head leaves dense, cloud-like clumps and sticky sheets of lacing all over the glass. The nose borders on offensive, showing vinegary ketchup notes that are hard to get past. A strong, tart earthiness hints at an unintentional brett infection gone horribly wrong. Whatever malt sweetness there once was seems t have been chewed up, and there’s hardly a hop within reach. Likewise, the flavor is a total whiff. Tart, earthy, bretty, and rife with sanitation issues, this resembles a pale ale only in color. It’s a complete and utter drain pour. I take one last sip to get a feel for the palate and I’m pissed at myself for doing so. The result is a thin, overly dry, astringent mouthfeel that serves as the straw that broke the camel’s back. I rarely do re-visits on less than stellar brews, so the folks that made this mess should have thought about keeping things clean the first time around. Awful beer.
3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 jeremytoni (2352) - Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA - FEB 25, 2010
From a bottle poured a hazy straw color with a fair amount of head. Nice hoppy flavor with a light sour citrus finish.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 MeadMe (977) - Riverview, Florida, USA - FEB 12, 2010
A: Pours a nice golden orange with a small white head that quickly dies.
S: Nicely hopped aroma. Lots of citrus with milder notes of pine. Light malt sweetness hides beneath, but the hops are very powerful for a pale ale.
T: Hopped up in flavor as well. There is a nice caramel sweetness but it really is not match for the hops. We are not talking West Coast IPA here, but it is highly hopped for a pale ale. The hops are very citric, but there is a touch of sweet pine and even a little grass as well.
M&D: Medium in body, smooth, it drinks good.
