COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The first in our Purebred series of single hop A.P.A.s showcases the hop variety Citra. These are used for everything from bittering and flavor to aroma. The soft bitterness of the Citra hop makes this an extremely drinkable beer.

Poured in to a pint glass from a 22oz bottle. Orangeish/gold with a frothy off white head; 1-2 fingers with good retention. Definitely smells like a Citra pale: citrus, peach, honey, piney hops. Taste follows aroma: orange, lemon, peach, piney and a strong biscuity/malt backbone. Medium body, leaves tongue coated with straight bitterness and mouth is dry. Overall, one of the better beers in this category that Iíve had. Itís no ZD, not nearly as delicate. Definitely drinkable and cool that itís semi-local. Definitely worth trying.

22 oz. bottle- Pours a nice and lively pale orange with a two finger bone white head that wants to stick around and does nicely with good layered lace. Aroma is very nice, those citra hops really resonate, fresh citrusy notes like peach, lemon and some grapefruit, some pine. The taste is similar, citra hops, which is what you want in a beer like this, piney, moderate bitterness, dry, citrusy. Body is medium, finish leaves your mouth dry, medium carbonation. I really liked this beer, Laughing Dog Does IPA or pale ales right, itís all about the hop. At 68 IBUís, I would consider this in the IPA category, but whatever. Very proud of my local brewer up here in North Idaho!

Bottled 3/6/13 .. 9 days ago.. Not bad. Picked this up at the COOP tonight for about $5... poured into my HotD goblet... Good 1 finger white head sticks around for a bit and leaves decent spotty lacing. The brew is polished straw golden. The nose shows plenty of Citra hoppiness... bright citrus slightly reigned in by something I think smells like pineapple, Brenda says apricot. Soft pale maltiness helps deliver the bountiful hops. Slightly more bitter than a standard APA, but that is okay... This is a hop delivery device and does the job well.. Again citrus and a light apricot show up.. Good maltiness (perhaps too much mid palate) but it dries out on the finish leaving a great lingering hop profile that begs for another sip. Very drinkable... light/medium body with a light for the style carbonation... again, I want another sip. Well done... I wish I picked up another.

On tap half pint at Gilly's Craft Beer & Wine in Rockville, MD. Clear, bright amber with off-white head and excellent lacing. Aroma of citrus (tangerine, lemon and orange) and pineapple. Taste of bitter citric hops, grapefruit, tropical fruit and malt. Medium body and medium carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at GABF 2012. Pours a clear orange/copper color with a medium white head. A smooth big nose of oranges. A similar and simple clean citra flavor with light lemon rind. Low bitterness. Good.

Draft. Pours orange with a white head. Juicy lemony/tangerine citrus, lighter floral notes, and a medium bitter finish. Good balance of hop flavor and hop bitterness. Clean pale malty base. Awesome.

Had this one at Rustico on Draft. Poured a nice light-orange/rich golden color with a nice solid white head that left plenty of lacing. Tropical fruit hop characteristics, but perhaps a bit more mellow than I expected from the Citra. Overall a decent brew.
